The thing is though that the club is in a low place and it needs some stability. It needs some commitment from the players. It needs the team to act and behave like a team. They all agreed to the ban. Big deal that Anasta suggested it (if that is what happened). I think it was the senior players idea.

For those idiots to go out and more or less beg to be busted beggars belief. It is time for a clean out and get the club of the papers for the wrong reasons. Sack Carney and Myles. FPN is not a serial offender I don't think.....
Do you see the Sharks sacking Albert Kelly?

Cronulla back Albert Kelly facing fine and suspension after alleged alcohol-related incident

Spot of trouble ... The Sharks are assisting police with their inquiry into Kelly's alleged incident. Source: News Limited
Cronulla back Albert Kelly is facing a fine and suspension after an alleged alcohol-related incident last Friday.

Police are investigating an incident in which the rising star was refused entry into Cronulla nightclub, Northies.

While being escorted from the premises, Kelly allegedly pushed over tables and chairs outside the hotel before pushing a bouncer in the chest.

Officers nearby witnessed the incident and say they handcuffed the 20-year-old after he continued to act in an aggressive manner, a statement from NSW Police media said.

Given that there are no other good players on the market for us to buy...we lose nothing if we keep him.
If he sins again against the 'NRL' and doesn't make it to the start of the 2012 season, then we carry on as usual with a replacement.
On the other hand, if he does make it, we have much to gain by not sacking him now if he plays like he did last year when fit.

Penrith Panthers drop Michael Jennings to NSW Cup for disciplinary reasons

NSW centre Michael Jennings has been stood down by Penrith for tonight's clash with Wests Tigers following a breach of the club's disciplinary code.

Jennings, is believed to have showed up for training on yesterday showing the effects of alcohol and will face a disciplinary hearing at the club this afternoon.

The 23-year-old, who was due to play his first game at fullback against the Tigers, will now turn out for the Windsor Wolves in the NSW Cup against Central Coast tomorrow.

Earlier this season Jennings was fined $10,000 by the Panthers for drinking while recovering from an injury.
How about you compare apples to apples. You're bringing up examples of clean skin's who have commited their first offences and asking us why they didn't get sacked. If they had a list of indiscretions as long as Carney's I'm sure they would no longer be at these respective clubs. For Penrith look at Arana Taumata.....for the Sharks look at Greg Bird and Brett Seymour. Your defence of Carney is admirable and I respect a players right to a life outside football, however, when that life starts to impact in a negative way on the team and its performances then you have to ask questions about the relative worth of the player.

Has Watmough ever promised to give up drinking but then been busted on the piss? Has he ever been de-registered for his behaviour and given a lifeline by a club only to continually shit on that club through his poor behaviour?

I think youll find that the problem with team moral and stability is going to the GC.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

You think the players are sweet with Carney doing what he did then? I find that somewhat difficult to believe.

Big alco and a regular at Manly court (nothing recent).
Still a tool but performs for the side.

Thurston is another. Off-field absolute tool. On-field absolute genius.

It is only a factor when negative 'on & off the field' performances gel.
Unfortunately, Carney will never reach his true potential with us.

Other than the season ends in 4 weeks...'tomorrow' basically.

There are many other players who should be looking in the mirror after this year's debacle...Pearce for one.

Myles had a shocker against Manly in the first round, as did Piggy and others...just when we were looking to build on the win against Souths in the first round.

Smith dropped Symonds from that game after his great game against Souths?

Smith stuffed up the replacements in the Bulldogs game after he kept 'hooking' players for making mistakes?...in anger?

Anyway, until the clubs goes after the NRL over our being refereed out of games because of referee incompetence or other, it won't matter who's in our team.

                            Carney doesn't need "rehab".

He is simply an uneducated bogan that is lucky to have a sporting gift.

Maybe one day he will grow up.
