    Ok then

What position is he playing, and how does that differ from the position of lock?

In his defense he was knocked stupid less than ten minutes before, he should never have been out there.

He's playing left second row and if I need to tell you how that differs then you're not even worth discussing it with.

So whenever ANYBODY in this world disagrees with you they are a "poor judge" or "argumentative".

You must be a lonely soul.

Disagreeing is good, not being able to see something so painfully obvious equals poor judge

            Or argumentative

I dead-set knew that would be your response 6

It's all so "obvious" - but Rooster 6 can't explain it

You obviously rate your opinions very highly.

So highly that the rest of society should have to agree with them.

                You are an interesting fellow.

All so "obvious," yet you can't explain it.

Politis, Friend, Pearce, Carney, Braith... you love our club, don't you mate?

On the topic though, Friend isn't a strong enough ball runner. As he matures we'll start to see the best of him, it's a position that requires time to master and he's got all the skills.
Sorry R6 I thought the question was whether Friend was a Gallen style lock to which I thought he played most of his career. I'm pretty sure the answer is the same that he isn't in the class of Gallen at lock. Maybe I should have used his Australian and State Of Origin stats of the last few years. FMD some can be pedantic.

BlindFred, these bastards form the media are the highest calibre of cant youll ever see. Lying imbeciles. Like the turd pretending he's a Rooster all the while pulling his little chubby over whatever crap is written in the rag.

His NSW and Australian stats at lock aren't that flattering to be honest.

Not saying he's a bad player (in fact he's the best club forward going around imo) but do you really think he could make 290 metres if he was playing lock and thus required to make 30-40 tackles instead of 15?

I'm not having a go at you, just trying to put his game into perspective.

I know Friend is nothing like Gallen as they do play different positions and styles of play, but i did say could be in the same mould.
I just think Friend has more to offer instead of 50+ tackles a game, and could be a good ball playing Lock from his time spent at Hooker.

Friend is 5 foot 5 and 85 kgs

Gallen is 5 foot 11 and 105 kgs..

They will never be the same type of player.

Both have big hearts, but that is were the similarities end...

Try him at 6 for the rest of 2011, we might be pleasantly suprised!
