  • The Turnaround

Whilst the Dogs didn't throw anything at us they should have scored a couple of tries based upon sheer weight of possession.

The only time they even got close was when Manu channeled SKD and let that kick through (only for Latrell to save our arses).

Saints will throw a lot more at us so we can't afford to keep handing the ball over.

I refuse to take Saints seriously. They are a bunch of overrated diving imposters as far as I am concerned.

But they can string together some attack and their forwards are terrorising the opposition.

The question is, can we turn around our attack and beat them?

Can we flick a switch and all of a sudden have a 85% completion rate?

Can we get Teddy into the game?

Can Keary find his attacking form?

Can our forwards dominate like we have seen them do? I expect SST to play so that will be a good start.

    Can we burst their bubble?

This is a season-defining game for mine. It's also one for them.

And I can't wait for it.

    Go Easts!

You want us to attack..deeper balls beautiful long accurate passing and deep second phase play ..Players running tight holes offloading etc??? You might have to bring Pearce back or that .... lol forget he is useless in the last 10 minutes of every half and the short kicking game last to none

Saints might go into the game undefeated, but they're definitely beatable. It's too soon in the season to be talking about 'benchmark teams'. Looked what happened to the Warriors last week.

Glad we've got an extra day to recover.

Happy that I've already got my ticket because the game will be a cracker!

I feel this weeks game against Saints will be the kick start to our season..
They play a good brand of football which I feel we will match and beat them.
Last night we faced a dour team and we played accordingly, whereas Saints will challenge us in every way and I believe we will wake up in a big way!
They are already using the excuse of a short turnaround

But you've already declared the season over Tobin. Is it back on now? I'm confused....

We leak through the middle like Dame Edna without her nappy.

We have absolutely no depth in key positions and we have probably lost SST for the season.

Our forwards are as limp as Hugh Hefner trying some black imported Indian viagra.

We bring in Cronk and Tedesco then try to make them play our outdated style instead of playing to their strengths - when we don’t even have the players to play that style.

The harsh reality is that we haven’t played consistently and well since we lost that Brisbane semi in 2015.

This season is over folks and unless we make so e big changes next season is as well.

Big games always suit the underdogs. Least we aren't expected to win. The extra day turnaround definitely helps too.

The Souths game was the turnaround game because we lost in that manner to such team. Friend was sticking to his simple game, Matto heavily involved from the start, JWH made made some of his best post contact runs of the year...in fact all forwards were hitting hard thru. Tedesco a great game at the back. I’m giving them a break with the dropped balls in the second because it was probably fatigue from defending.

If the head bead high on Tetevano was given or even that not called knock on because it went backwards, Mitchell wouldn’t of been binned. It’s around that time the defensive effort started. Also that Morris not being called out AND those offside calls on our line but apparently the dogs were never offside...WTF?

There may not have been too many penalties but I feel our team were focusing a lot on not being penalised whilst the dogs were being given more leniency. I feel It would have frustrated our players.

Souths showed how beatable and overrated Saints are.

They have beaten the Broncos, Sharks (twice), Titans, Knights and Souths. Hardly any team that you would rate Top 4 material and maybe only the Broncos as Top 8 although they did beat some of them easily.

We can beat them but I don't think we will be ready to do it next week unless our completions are much better than the last 4 weeks.

Souths minus Burgess nearly got them
Sharks we’re matching it with them until Gallen,Fifita,Graham and Luke Lewis went off injured lol
Tonight they play the Warriors with no Kata,Johnson and Pulu..
We will be at nearly full strength, just hope we bring our A game!

The only turn around well See is our forward pack getting turned around up through the middle after the refs blow the pea out of it, and our wingers getting turned around with kicks in behind them.

Forwards need to consistently play like they did last night. No one under performed last night.

Defence structure is there, if we had more opportunities on the Dogs line last night then what we did we would have put on more points. We barely got to their line we were defending our hearts out for at least 60 minutes of that game last night.

Robbo should be satisfied with the small amount of times we had on their line we did score once, came close on three occasions only to be denied by the Video Referee and did two kick restarts so it is there...

Not a season defining game. 440 tackles will be tough to recover from.
