  • Have I/ we been too hard on our ex half?

Why are we still playing this Roosters footy style Robbo raves about, Pearce was pedestrian in attack most of his time here, there was no thought in his kicks the majority of time, was he coached to play that way, Cronk seems to be playing that same way.

when will Robbo let his players off the leash and play the game as it unfolds?

I am certain there is no one that cannot see we need to get Lattrell early ball whenever we can, but fark me we continue with this structured 3 hit up, Tedesco/ Keary sweep play that is easily read and then a forced pass to Mitchell.

Gee I hope we switch on in the second half or things will get ugly on the scoreboard

Half back was never the main problem.

It’s appearing more and more like that isn’t it.

Wrong. With Pearce he could never rise up to the occasion on big games. This year with Cronk, he's trying but his teammates let him down. Every game is literally halves + Tedesco vs "Team X" rather than Roosters vs Team X. They're duds. Even our big players like Cordner, JWH, Napa, Friend are underperforming.

They are both similar organising halfbacks.

I disagree that he was pedestrian - on the contrary, really solid most of the time. Cronk's decision making under pressure is certainly better.

There is no way Cronk is being coached at all. If anything, i'd suspect he is too involved in the coaching himself - which may or may not be rubbing up his teammates the right way.

There is no excuse for the conservative structures any longer the way we are attacking with the cattle we have though. Surely there is a method to Robbos madness, but i can't see it.

Maybe our slide after 2016 was the loss of Jennings. He was clearly the X-factor we have missed. But even then Mitchell has his measure. They've just run out of spirit and ideas. You cant buy chemistry. Our playing style needs a shakeup. Friend needs to be dropped to the bench next week to give him a rocket up his arse.

Pearce was a dud for 4 years but the whingers believe he could have done it this year, or the next, or the next after that. Cronk was never going to be a guarantee but at least the club is trying to make positive changes. Unfortunately there are some changes that have yet to be completed.

Definitely. Maloney has been NRLs best player if you take into account his modest salary.

Can you remind me about our Anzac day clash last year, what was the result?

Of course Pearce would not have changed things, just can’t believe we continue with the same attacking structure over and over again, our attack is in total disarray at the moment and does not look like improving anytime soon

The Club may have stuffed up with Cronk

I get it ROC, but signing a marginally better halfback who's 34 was a huge gamble supported by many on here.

Rather than address that people are more than happy to point the finger elsewhere to deflect.

You say it's a positive change, I disagree. If you thought we needed a change then we should have gone out and bought a young million dollar halfback who we could build the next decade around. Ashley Taylor or Nathan Cleary, now that would've been positive.

Now we're stuck with an ageing halfback who seems to be struggling to keep up with the pace of the game. Even if we do manage to click with him at halfback we get what a season and a bit out of him before he retires and we have to go through the same process again.

Last year it was the same attacking bombs
This year we use the same attacking structure,so boring
