Radley magic desperately needs more minutes. He's better than top 17. His attitude is superior. I'd like to see our coaches admit to themselves what's not working through different solutions, like you suggest. Currently it seems to be just wait, the good times will eventually roll, stick to our process blah blah.
One example, if we look to the one half decent team we beat, Sharks, why did we throw that winning formula back out the window?
Oh fark, Radley is our find of the season. A farking utility who absolutely creams forwards!!!!! He is like farking Sonny farking Bill Williams.

We should be scoring more good tries. IMO that is the only way for us to get on top of teams... score some tries, break their back and stop playing farking 80 minites of catch-up footy.

Yep, an unpredictable threat who pops up everywhere. The way they managed his entry into firsts, including not telling him how good he was until he re-signed, and the way we are as a Club traditionally, I just find it very hard to see the coaching staff make these changes unless it's forced thru injury , suspensions.

I agree with you mate. The Dragons expected us to come back in the second half after we got all that possession, and start the tryscoring show. Second week in a row though we couldn't buy a try.

Contrary to what many people are saying I don't think our pack was outplayed against the dragons . Time after time we managed to easily get out from our 20m & deep into dragon territory . Our problem week in week out is the stuttering attack straight out of dummy half . Quite simply our main starting hooker just doesn't ask any questions of the opposition . Yes at times our forwards havnt rolled their sleeves up but lately even when we roll well forward it's stop start when we need to put some finesse on . I'm confident the halves will get it done even though the last month has seen them dip in form as well .

Hello original. I’d argue I don’t need original in my name. assume we are both referring to Bunny not Trevor. Lol

i Agree 100%. Our forwards more than held their own. The breakdown is poor linkage to backs through pedestrian passing

I wonder how many of our errors coe inside the opp. 20 through that telegraphed second man play when the defence rushes Keary/Boyd/Tedesco forcing a bat on.

Seems from the matches, and what he tells us, that Robinson wants to just 'worry about us'. Im not joking i reckon i could have coached Dragons to a win today.
so true. Our halves got smashed all game by their forwards while we held off and watched Hunt and Widdop attack. So frustrating.

I suspect people KNOW our combos and have worked out how to pressure them such that the speed of Cronk-Keary-Cordner-Latrell...etc kinda combos has been killed off. That line where Keary does a short pass to Cordner or a cutout pass to Latrell used to get us an almost certain linebreak/try. Now? I notice that if Keary doesnt get stopped first... Cords will be hit with numbers and/or Latrell will be hit with numbers.

IMO our strength has become our weakness as we have become too predictable. This causes us to get blinded when our plan doesnt work... so instead of that try or line break... Friend grabs the ball, crabs across the field, does nothing and this leads to either a knock-on, a stupid kick that goes nowhere or a forward pass. We need a backup plan for when our heavy artillery fails to dent their armour.

                Here is my plan.
                1. Keary and Cords or Latrell TRY their magic, but Radley trails behind them.
                2. If there is no try or line break... then SURRENDER!!! Flop on the ground and play the ball to Radley ASAP.
                3. Radley then has the option of either having another go along the short side, passing to one of the pigs to run down the centre, doing a cutout pass to Fergo/Teddy (GET THEM COMBINING IF MAUBS IS CENTRE!!!) or running the ball himself.

Simple plan but IMO we need to be thinking 3 plays ahead and looking for quick play the balls rather than farking hoping for a line break and having a crab across the field when it isnt forthcoming
Oh my - hope Robbo hasn't this plan in mind.- Are you a mate of Radley's as you have him as our main attacking weapon in your plan???

Cronk and Keary need to play on either the left or right side individually in attack or combine in attack at times- no more of the 5th tackle wrap around/ running sideways/ bat ons/ more passes than required or not using the backline - Need to work on the attack on both sides - forwards need to improve their skills in their running/offloads and passing games as well as players improving their support play ( i.e be expecting offloads/ passes /kicks- players in motion and in support ) .

Tedesco needs to get more involved too in chiming into the backline/play from the back on either the left or right side- running of either Cronk or Keary or both if they combine/others or being a decoy runner for cut out passes to outside backs and or a support player- inside and or outside passes or kicks etc.

The only time I recall we've ever put any pressure on a kicker was when we played the Knights and Robinson might have told the troops that Pearce is not that good under pressure. It's like he only knows about Pearce and for every other playmaker there is little if no plan to deal with them. 'It seems' like there is little homework done on the opposition and we just go into the match with 1 plan and if it fails, keep at it until the end.

                    1. I belong to the Victor Radley appreciation society, get on board.
                    2. I reckon he should use this tactic and Uncle Nick should thank me later (financially) when it wins us a premiership.

I know, it's not even like we have the excuse of keeping the defensive line set as our reason not to rush the halfback.

1/Watch Damien Cooke like a hawk running from DH
2/ Morris boys always run from DH
3/ Hunt runs it himself or kicks in behind, inside the 10.
4/ Tigers halfbacks spiral bomb or reverse kick to under the post
5/ Warriors power up and offload.

                      The basic strengths.

And we watch it all unfold and let it all happen over 80 minutes. I have lost confidence in any in-game management or halftime talk turnaround. Do we lose most second halves or what! When Cooke ran amok I prayed Robinson would end it at halftime. Same with warriors offloads. But, I don't believe we multi task very well at all.

I hate to say it, but last night souffs sweeparound set play on their left was very good. Better than ours anyway.

Although Souths lost last night you can see the promise in attack they possess close to the opposition line..
I believe a lot has to do with Cook out of dummy half and a new coach implementing fresh ideas..
Adam Reynolds isn’t the most gifted runner of the football but despite that the team still plays quick and direct.
Whereas at Easts Friend passes to Cronk with Keary sweeping behind him and taking the pass off him, then we hope for the best..

That's a good play when the 2nd rower passes it back on the inside and then they go wide off the next pass it freezes the defensive line. Cowboys have used it with Gavin Cooper in the past and the storm on the right edge with proctor, Harris or kaufusi.
I mentioned it before I think we should be running that play with matto on the right as an ex 5/8 he has the hands to make that play. The problem is friends left to right pass on that edge gives the defence time to get up in our faces .
