After watching our shambles of a team lose to the merge and then seeing Melbourne put 50 on the warriors, just made me wonder what bellamy could do with this roster.. What are the biggest differences that stand out between robbo and bellamy and the way melbourne play to the roosters? Both teams are very structured yet with a rookie, roosters reject half they are playing thrilling footy...

The biggest difference is culture. The Melbourne storm culture is something to behold and takes a long time to develop. It's why one cog comes out of their chain and it's simply replaced by another.

I'm not sure ours comes close to theirs. The last time we had something akin to theirs was in 2013 when we won the premiership and our Bondi wall was up.

Hard to say what Bellamy would do with our teams roster. I say he'd change a few things with our roster to begin with (our forwards)

Melbourne play much less structured footy nowadays - I don't know myself if Robbo has other game plans he will pull out later in the season or not or this structured/robotic style of football is what he thinks will be successful. They do use the ball though and have players that can offload and support and capitalise on opportunities - They Defend better including defending errors and play as they train.

I have seen the Chooks train a few times and maybe these were on casual days- but the training session seemed like a social event - players in groups chatting or going through the motions -the assistant coaches yelling out hey it's training not a social - do xyz - would not happen down in Melbourne - they train and train till they get things right with no wasting of time in any training session.

Take Cameron Smith out of that team and they fall apart, they lost a grand final 40-0 without him.

I think that culture was pushed by SBW more than anybody else.

Warriors beat the Merge. The Merge flog us. Storm annihilate Warriors. What say Storm score an NRL record against us?
