This team reminds me of the 2000 Roosters.

Win loss win loss win loss

An inconsistent yet mercurial bunch with an underperforming forward pack.

        The Chooks by 12

Expecting the forwards to continue their good form from last game. Napa worries me though.

Friend hopefully simplifies his game, get given a rest with Bo Radley some time at DH.

Improvements needed with our attack, Good weather and if we were near our potential we would score 40 plus points but, will still be
clunky at time however, there will be good moments.

We are a work in progress.

        Roosters 22 Manly 10

The 2000 Roosters finished second at the end of the regular season. They didn't play wlwlwlw all season.

If we are good we win by a 100...got no idea otherwise

I just hope Robbo doesn’t use Friend for the entire game and having Radley play his minutes whilst Friend is dummy half. That occurred in the Anzac Day clash and in my opinion didnt work.

80 minutes of Jake at DH again will kill us. Otherwise with Radley at DH we should have sufficient go forward to run over the chip stealers.

No but they did for the first couple of months. Hence the comparison.

That sides first 10 games went WLWLWLWLWL.

And whilst the 2018 version hasn't been quite the same they've been similarly inconsistent for the first 3rd of the season but the potential to put it all together is there.

                    Thanks Tommy,

That is fascinating, and hoping a repeat of 2000 will happen.

I would take a GF loss now, considering our form at the moment.

Every team that St George has beaten has won the week after. Funnily enough St George have lost once and the team who beat them (Warriors) lost the next week.

I'm expecting a fired up Manly.

Barrett had a big heart to heart with his team this morning and the word is that he is not leaving Manly. The rumours were just some sabre rattling from his manager....

Also POS has been helping them out apparently this week and will probably be their recruitment manager going forward. I think he is no longer deregistered by the NRL....

Expecting the attack to be heaps better this week. I suspect they spent all their training time in the leadup to the anzac day game on the go forward because it was very good, probably best its been since 2015. But I guess with the short prep they didn't have time to work on the rest of it because you could see when they got tho the end of the sets there was lots of uncertainty and confusion. So with the long turn around, expecting the backline plays and end of sets to be a lot smoother and more coordintated.

                          My theory anyway....

POS is an interesting one if true. He had a brig wrap on Jackson Hastings.

Interesting quote from Laurie Daley below, hope we click this week..

Daley feels coach Trent Robinson also has case to answer for the Roosters’ spluttering form

He said: “Trent said it won’t take long, we will hit the ground running, but it hasn’t been.

“Cooper is struggling to fit into the Roosters system.

“Something needs to change there in attack.”

The Roosters take on struggling Manly at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
