  • Perret's Covering Tackle

I thought Perret's tackle in cover defence to save a Cooper try was worth a thread of its own. Cooper is a very strong player and Perret did exceptionally well to pull him up short of the line.

The commitment Perret displayed has been something the Roosters have lacked all year (aside from a handful of individuals).

was unbelievable. If they score there, they win IMO.

JWH's tackle on Hornby in the 2nd half at 16-12 was also crucial

Those two defensive efforts were the plays of the game. Absolute confidence boosters.

I'm going to reply here just to bump this thread because I agree, both incidents were crucial and displayed winning attitude.
WELL DONE to both Sammy and Jared.

This is the great thing about rugby league, 2 small and what seem insignificant moments, can be the most inspiring to a team and can do wonders in regards to confidence and change in momentum !!!

I thought Pearce holding up Cooper in the opening 5 minutes was a game-changer...

If they scored then, we were probably finished...

What about Soward's non attempt at tackle on Phil Graham.

                That was disgraceful.

I found it quite amusing. I rewound it and watched it over and over with every member of my family..

                      Yeh.

As soon as he missed the tackle for the try he went straight for the eye.

He is just soft no one can dispute that.

Must admit, I though Cooper was in, until that lovely coveribg tackle by Sammy. How awful are the Merge, back to being chokers.

I played footy with a bloke like that but a lock forward. He was a thug who thought he was the shit....always mouthing off and putting people even his own team mates down. I over took him in a 200 meter relay once, and as soon as I pulled away I heard the coward feign a hamstring strain..." Oh my hammy!".

                          Sure mate.

Soward reminds me of this wanker.

                              A magic tackle.
Pity he was injured for half the season.
