Why are we so prone to epic pea brain moments?

Yesterday's edition was truly momentous...

We were up by 2 at the 78:30 mark of the game. It's the 3rd tackle about 25m from their line and I'm looking for a couple of simple hit ups for Cronk to then kick it into touch; thus giving Manly 1 minute to travel 90m against a set D. Game over.

But! Enter the Pea Brain. Kinda like Enter the Dragon, only with the Roosters its Enter the Pea Brain.

So instead of that happening, SST in all of his infinite wisdom goes for the miracle off load to Teddy.

Result: a lost ball and Manly have a full 90 seconds in much better field position and almost score.

I just wanna know what goes through our players heads sometimes! They all have SKDs disease.

If there was a positive, after full time, SST headed straight up the tunnel with a disgusted look on his face, contrast that to some who after a loss look like they have won a grand final with big smiles on their faces and high fiving everyone.

We have to be up there with having the dumbest footballers in the competition Tommy mun. Simple errors at crucial moments that keep happening year after year.

I don't know what the hell it is mun. It's like it's ingrained in our culture or something.

Some of them do seem to lack game sense at times. Worst example was against the dogs when despite being 6-0 in front and having done a ton of tackling they kept pushing passes at the wrong times.

Even Cronk who is supposed to the master of game management is doing it with his kick dead on the 3rd tackle yesterday.

You'd think the Structure Kings would be a well oiled machine by now when it comes to the basics.

We have no idea how to offload, which is indefensible Robbo. And when we do offload successfully (once yesterday to Keary) there's nobody in support.

Yeah me too...I liked the fact that players other than JWH for a change were thinking offload.

It's pretty obvious that our first week with the new attack involved lots of offloads.

Which suits Teddy greatly.

That's the only real change I noticed.

I think it was good to see the boys playing like that yesterday, I don't think we did a block play all game yesterday. Alot more footy played. We're going to drop the ball anyway, we might as well throw the ball around

We actually only had 7 offloads yesterday. These are the offload stats in our games this season. Roosters offloads listed first.

How about the genius of Latrell Mitchell charging into a defender taking a bomb without even looking at the ball,I’m still scratching my head at the stupidity of that play..
Regarding SST,yes it was a boneheaded play but atleast he was looking for the offload throughout the game as opposed to head down and run.

It’s about trying to do it at the right time and place though obviously. I can’t think of a worse time to be risking an offload than when you’re 2 in front and all you need to do is hang on to the ball and wind down the clock.
