Soward is being used in an extremely specific role by Bennett. He is heavily protected in the defensive line. He only touches the ball in his own half to kick (and gets the best coverage of any kicker in the NRL). He generally does not touch the ball in attack unless to kick.

He is playing very effective footy but this is because Bennett has worked a system to optimise his strengths and minimise his many glaring weaknesses. Bennet has also managed to address his confidence problems - no mean feat!

To think that he would get the same results with Soward at our club would be to ignore history.

Also, we lost Toupou because he was asking $400k a season.

We lost Crock because he needed to get out of Sydney to escape his demons.

We were stupid to let Monas, Wing and Morley go. These guys would make a huge difference to our current team.

In 5 starting games for us Soward received MOM 3 times, he was played as reserve, centre, fullback and hhoker in other appearances from a bloke with no clue, so what history would you be talking about????
