I agree with those that say keep Anasta at 5/8 in 2012 and hunt around for a replacement for the year after.

That probably means Carney gets the punt. Well you have to lay a foundation for 2012 and have a consistent committed side. Honestly, I think you dont have that with Carney, because most likely he will reoffend then the scrammble is on to reshuffle to cover for him.

A lot here seem to think its not if but when Carney causes dramas again. Carney then provides too much uncertainty at a time we need to regroup, we dont need that. And if some other mob buy him, so what, he'll probably fall off the rails there as well and that can be their problem to get sorted.

One thing to remember is that Carney was SOBER when he decided to go out drinking with Myles and FPN. They all knew they were breaking the rules (and likely to get caught), while also being a few days away from a BIIIIG game where their sober, highly tweaked bodies would be needed. Did Carney care about the team and say "nah guys... also if you go out drinking I'm gonna report you to Smithy..."

Braith isn't our long-term 5/8 and is flawed in many areas of his game, but without guys like him and Mini, EVERYBODY would just go out drinking and farking around. We need the more mature minded blokes. I'll never forget:
- That when under the influence of alcohol and randomly king hit by a stranger, Braith turned his back and walked out of a bar.
- Braith's drop goal against the tigers.
- How we beat the dragons against the odds on Sunday.

Braith isn't an individual game winner, but I think he's a decent leader when people are willing to follow. More often than not, I think he takes one for the team in the blame game after big losses...
