What the Roosters do with Anasta depends on what they do with bogan farrkwit Carney.

If they punt Carney, then it's simple, Anasta to 5/8. If they persist with Carney then it depends how long it is before Carney reoffends as to what they do with Anasta. I suppose it is no different to this year - Anasta has to slot into second row/lock but be prepared to shift to 5/8 with no notice when Carney decides to let his team mates down again.

My personal preference is for stability - sack Carney, have Anasta at 5/8 for 2012 at least. I don't trust Carney to do the right thing by the club, not with his track record at both Canberra and the Roosters.

Anasta must bulk up and be a forward, lock or second row.

Like Freeman said on Fox, Carney will be snapped up by another club and then be scoring points against.....us!

Yep he's just about used up all my trust too. And the more chances he gets, I get the feeling he'll just continue to abuse that trust.

Hopefully he can utlilised a bit more like a Glen Stewart in attack assisting the halves and not just a wide running 2nd rower on the left side.
We now have Takarangi on the left hand side to cause damage.

And as for Anasta I'm starting to really feel sorry for him being shunted from position to position depending on whether TC's got his head on right or not. Would be easier for him to just throw a hissy fit but he's kept his cool and is trying to lead the team from the front. I also feel sorry for Smith having to manage the whole crap and not being able to make long term positional plans because he doesn't know whether Carney's head and heart is really in it.

Let's face it, if Carney had anything more than the basic human brain function then he'd be working in an office or in a job that doesn't involve him being smashed by 100+ kilo men most weekends.

If the problem is the media, like "Doodles" Gould said yesterday on the Roast, then he should have his fun away from the media.

If Carney wants to drink then he should do it at a controlled situation away from the public.

Really, what is wrong with the club setting up a gathering of the team where they are couriered to and from the club in a bus, driven by a trusted member of the club?
Young blokes want to go to places like the Sheaf or The Beach Road Hotel.

They don't want to be in a room looking at other footy players.

If it's a matter of women, get the high grade hookers in. And get Craig Thompson to pay for it.

Any addict is fine whilst they're mind is occupied on other things. Carney's problem is the down time, whe he's bored and has nothing to do. Unfortunately, its just impossible to supervise an adult 24/7.....unless of course they're in jail.

And leaking them as well - his defence is pretty substandard.

I reckon he's cost us more points than he's scored in 2011.

We're down the bottom of the ladder and our attack had been hopeless all year, with Anasta at 5/8 much of the time.
Carney was injured for most of the year.
The playing group that wants to get rid of Carney should have a look at how badly they played this year, when it mattered.
Every game their mistakes toll was high.

Who will they blame next year?

It's entirely possible...the club hasn't even tried seriously yet.

It might be, but regardless of who is watching over Carney he is a grown man, and if decides he wants to do something, then nobody can stop him.

Well if you'r so keen on the idea, how about you put your hand up to the club and offer to monitor the bloke 24/7 it at your own expense. The Club shouldn't have to be paying for that. And I doubt Carney will.

See how you enjoy the experience.
