What to do with Anasta?

We're down the bottom of the ladder and our attack had been hopeless all year, with Anasta at 5/8 much of the time.
Carney was injured for most of the year.
The playing group that wants to get rid of Carney should have a look at how badly they played this year, when it mattered.
Every game their mistakes toll was high.

Who will they blame next year?

Carney has played 16 games and been absolute rubbish in nearly every one of them yet you reckon its the rest of the team or Anasta's fault? You must be related to him, either that or you're his manager!

On a brighter note - We won 6 from 10 at home this season..

At least if you go to home games you had something to cheer about some of the time..

Exactly my point compared to how many games todds played this year Braith has been better for us at 5/8

If Carney is not sacked what are our options for next year? I assume we are stuck with Anasta for one more year. How about;

1. Carney (Mini to the wing)
6. Anasta
7. Pearce

I guess that is exactly where we started in 2010. It is not ideal but is seems some change needs to be made to accommodate everyone and get us winning. Any other suggestion? (Of course sack Mini, Carney and Anasta may be the ideal but it isn't going to happen at the moment)

Mate I think it is either that or retirement. Sadly we both know that Mini will most likely have the fullback position for another year.

We need every good player we can get for next season.

I've never even spoken with Carney let alone be a mate of his.

All I know is that he carved teams up when he played for the Raiders, and he was a great player last year.

I've seen many players in different teams have off years thru injury or whatever, only to bounce back to greatness the next year.

Well I was going to tell Todd what a great game he had when I saw him at the club after a home game we won this year, but he was being mobbed by fans. :-)

I still say Anasta should be shunted. Yes he played well last Sunday as 5/8 and captain. But it shouldn't matter what position you play as captain you must still be the captain and Braith has failed repeatedly in 2011 in that regard. There have been a number of games where he went missing and didn't pull his weight. And if that is based on where he's playing, than that's one more reason to piss him off as that's not what a captain should be doing.

This is exactly right Chook. He has one good game in five (being generous) and then eveyone talks about how good he is. As has been stated many times previously he does not cut it in the forwards and he is not going win us a premiership as a 5/8. Unfortunately it seems he is going to be here next year though.

We need that prick Sodomite/ Captain Caveman/ Loot at My Choad back here to remind everyone of his stats. He went missing in a lot of matches earlier this year when the matches still meant something. Playing good when we can't make the finals is like a professional golfer having a good round on Sunday when he is not in contention.

When did Carney have a great game this season? Unless you're talking about the game he played for Newtown.
