Unfortunately 6 years of overpaid incompetence isn't a sackable offence.

If he plays 5/8 we have the worst attack in the comp

If he plays in the forwards we're effectively a forward down

If we want to make the 8, offloading him or Newtown is the only option

Add Mini into the mix and it gets worse

      And who will play 5/8?

There is no one else on the market and Littlejohn (probably our most promising half coming through) probably needs another 12 months before he could consistently play first grade.

I agree with Mini at 1, Anasta at 6, Pearce at 7 and Friend at 9 our attack is not great. You need at least one player in those positions to have that bit of unpredictability. But there are no real alternatives atm.

I would prefer to have a solid year next year with a strong team culture and bringing some of the younger blokes on slowly and then add some spark at fullback and 5/8 in 2013 when our youngsters develop further and/or there are better options on the market.

It will be disruptive enough sacking your star player - sacking your star player and captain (with no real replacement) would make for a disasterous year next year.

**** the 8. We need to sort out our culture problem first. We'll be shifted to Adelaide if we aren't careful.

I don't know, get the recruitment genius to find someone in the off-season, but Anasta simply can't be an option

If he is, we don't make the 8 and are a terrible side to watch with mind-numbingly bad attack

          It's that simple

Come on.. Surely you enjoy those mid-field bombs on the fifth tackle?

The recruitment "genius" has done a good job.

Two SG Ball wins, now those players are killing it in the 20's and quite a few of them will be very good first graders.

The shame is we had a good young 5/8 who the Tigers got off us.

How does Adam Henry go at 5/8? We seemed to have bought him as an outside back but he's been playing a fair bit of 5/8 for the dominant Warriors NYC team lately.

With hindsight I wish we could reverse that decision and get Jacob Miller back.

                      I agree.

Plenty of youngsters playing for the Jets also.

                        I do...they bounce around anywhere.
Better than 'nothing' kicks to the fullback.

Why would either player break their contracts to join a club that has just avoided the wooden spoon.

I would agree. Make the best use of him. Very good defensively

Far too slow for the Centres..

His best position going forward is the 1st tee at Moore Park.
