The grand final was the best attacking performance I saw from this side in 2018.

Timed to perfection.

I was wrong we didn't need a plan B halfback to Cooper Cronl, Keary was there all along. Cronk just needed to get out of his way.

it wasn't the best of preseasons though for us. for one, cronk was in the world cup, so that took a toll and forced him to come later into preseason training. then Keary broke his jaw, so that is why it took a while for everything to click. I didn't think cronk himself was the problem, as he wasn't as bad as JT, however the role he played probably gave us the wrong impression early on, as it wasn't as much of a "hands-on" approach as his years at the storm, rather creating a strong combo with friend, keary, and tedesco, bringing a good kicking game, and providing first class game management. That is probably why cronk wasnt the stand out in attack that we were expecting, but later in the year his influenced oozed onto the field-you could easily see it

What is ridiculous beyond belief though is people like John Tobin and Tommy Smith popping up on these revived threads after all their hysterical hyper criticism of the likes of Friend and plenty of other players over the years. You guys are kidding!

Well at least Maxy said he got it wrong......and i bet he is glad he got it wrong! Like Maxy i was frustrated after the first dozen games. The Anzac day loss against the Dragons really left me deflated and thinking the big name buys was money wasted. Bloody hell i was glad all my doubts were wrong!!! Go Easts!!!
