Tini probably doesn't get to show his skills as much as some of our other backrowers due to his great workrate which sees him playing that tight forward replacement role. His first few games he spent a bit of time on the edges and was really impressive. So I think he's probably a victim of his own effort. Puts more pressure on kickers than anyone else in the team. And as fitzy mentioned has a very good passing game just short of the line to put faster support players through.

Plus he's on half Symonds' salary.

Arona is a work horse and we really need someone like that at the club.

Arona actually played the same minutes as JWH..

which was more than Takairangi, Mose and Tasi..

I like how he doesn't seem to make mistakes and give away penalties..

EDIT - Ok he may have given away a penalty against St.George..

i like arona. i think we can develop him into a really top draw lock. he has absolutely all the skills and on paper would make the perfect lock. he is a similar build to gallen/fensom who are the top locks in the game, has a massive workrate in defence and attack, has also played as a prop so can play that tight role extremely well as well as being a player who has covered at hooker in the past and has excellent footwork, hole-running and ball playing attributes. personally, i expected a little more from him since his debut - he hasnt quite kicked on yet imo but he definitely has the potential. throw on top of that his excellent attitude and leadership qualities and we could have a real gem. every pack needs an unsung hero. maybe he is it for us.

Sounds pretty bad. Hard to believe. I hope it is all BS or looks like we may lose another one.

BJ was struggling with his hammy big time after he scored his try last week.

So it sounds as though we will be without 3 of our backs.

Can't wait for J Carney to spill a few.

Apparently there is a rule the NRl brought in that will not allow under 18's to play first grade.
