Can't wait for J Carney to spill a few.
If J Carney ever gets into a side that has a properly functioning set of halves, he will surprise you

I want to know if the BJ thing is legit. As far as i knew he was always a quiet and grounded kid.

i agree with you. It certainly didn't help with the lack of space he was given and with virtually only one half functioning this year

With us it was like.. here's the ball let's see what you can do with it. There is a large contrast in the way the halves of the top teams play. You only need to look at Foran and Marshall and the great quality ball they give their centres in drawing and passing

Would proper functioning halves assist J Carney under the high ball in defence? He had his issues with this in his games for us.

And there is also the problem of when he was passed the ball, he more often than not dropped it. Some of the passes may not have been the greatest, but most should have been caught.

But we must deal with the hand we've been dealt with injuries I suppose. If J Carney is the best we have available, then so be it.

He's a good player, who's had an interrupted comeback from a shockingly bad broken leg. The handful of games he's played this season have been for close to the worst side in the comp in 2011.

He's not even 1% responsible for the debacle that this season has been.

Given time, and better players around him, he'll surprise you too

I agree with your comments about Justin Carney too. He had very few opportunities and was very quickly criticised. He started to look good in a couple of matches, particularly defensively but in a game after that made a few errors and was written off. As well as coming back from serious injury, he was playing in an awful team and a new club. Probably worst of all everyone believed the hype from his youtube clips and expected him to perform miracles. Even if he does not become a star he is certainly a good depth player.

He was suspect under the high ball. Certainly. However, I see the guy as a centre rather than a winger. He is not very tall which as a winger makes him a target. However, as a centre he may still improve.
