Sat with the suits on Saturday night. The word was Dogs waiting on a response from Guerra, he has a 3 year Dogs contract or a 1 year extension on his Roosters contract to pick from. Is that correct?
Not sure, but will ask around tomorrow.
What have youy heard about the coaching role, I haven't really asked anyone yet ?

Guerra is liekly a lower prioirty in signings as he has long term, recurring injury issues at a relatively young age. Obviously knows how to score a try and makes good attacking runs, but also not the best defender as seen in his last games, The club has long depth in the back row. A running backrower, a tackling backrower, and then a bit of each at lock is the obvious ideal balance. Maubs can run great lines and a very reliable defender and has Guerra's measure.

Guerra is a class above Maubs

                  Yes ptb, it's my opinion

We generally don't insist that posters actually state that what they are posting is in fact their own opinion. On internet forums it's pretty much a given that people are expressing their own opinions

Back to Guerra and Maubs though, Maubs was made to look a bit better then he is last year. Guerra on the other hand manages to look head and shoulders above every other forward in a team that is going terrible

Guerra's defence has been very poor over the last couple of weeks, he's cost us 3 tries by himself unfortunately. I know Tony is a dumb carnt and knows shit all about RL but just thought I'd put it out there for the others.

Totally agree with u, his defence was terrible against Parra, I keep seeing things about Maubs his played like 2 games this year and last year could of easily cost us games if he got tackled in certain games when he didnt pass.

His a similar player to Beau Champion, last year he was starting to hit his straps but this year has cost Melbourne a few times in Defence and hogging the ball when should of passed.
Just to add Joel Thompson for Canberra is the biggest Hog in the comp.

If it's not Stuart, it will be Dymock with Daniel Anderson in a back office support role.

There is a concern about Dymock and the phenomenon now known as "the Fitler Effect" where a team rises mid season under a rookie coach. Only to discover that he may not be the long term answer.

The long way of saying I don't really know, I have heard equally vehement confirmations for both of them.

Pretty sure its called the Jason Taylor effect from his days at Parra thanx to Brian Smith, how ironic we have both of them to.

im glad im not the only one that has noticed this. he is an excellent prospect and should be retained but at this stage, the only walk up pick in the backrow for us is maubs. FPN is another one. Id like to see Ryles, Tasi and FPN be the nucleus of our bench next year as they give us a good mix of skill sets and also plenty of experience. the starting backrow is very much unsettled. maubs will be there for certain and then the remaining 2 spots will be fought out between cordner, guerra, lowe and symonds. I still think we could do with a marquee backrower particularly if carney goes. either SBW or bird would be good fits. yes they have had attitude problems but the way i see it is that with carney out of the side and a lot of our other bad influences (myles, watts etc) gone, there arent really any players for them to 'infect'. i also think both have become extremely consistent particularly bird and would add a necessary extra dimension to our side that would compensate for losing carney and having anasta had 6 who offers a little less in attack

He's primarily a back rower. Played most of his juniors there, but shifted to the centres because of the raiders forward strength. Having said that, I have to agree that he rarely looks to set up his outside man.

I think they are equally talented in different areas and will complement each other nicely. Would be nice to see them partnered with a backrower with some sting i.e. JWH. Although he seems to be getting better each week up front.
