Exactly but not how you are thinking. If the Coach does not have full autonomy with the team then how can they do the job effectively. The Coach should always have the final say on team recruitment and selection. Not the Board.

I would find it absolutely amazing that Smith actually spoke to the Weedler'. It's just a rumour isn't it? More likely Weedler has been talking to Carney's manager and his manager is trying to suss out interest from other clubs 'in the event' Carney is sacked by the board / Politis. Everyone knows Nick has final say.

I diasagree. After all, it's the Coach who cops the critism for a loss. It's his reputation and career on the line. You can't have it both ways. I'm sure Bennett controls his own team. Again, perhaps that is the problem is the problem with our Club. Lack of trust in the man hired to do the job.

Anasta has far exceeded any of Todd's performances at 5/8 this year.

Todd has to go. The club has done their best to support him but he wants to lose. I feel empathy for him as he is clearly deeply disturbed. I know he was just out drinking, but under the circumstances to do so publicly against the team ban, whether you agree with it or not, shows he is deeply loopy and will remain a liability wherever he goes. He could have built on his wonderful year in 2010, but he is a runaway trainwreck. I hope he doesn't top himself, but that is also on the cards unfortunately.

Guys, Carney can play in France, they have much less stringent entry levels than England (in other words a haven for bogans like Carney).

Remember that was where Greg Bird went when he was exciled from the NRL and couldn't get an English visa because of his record. He simply managed an entry visa into France, signed with Le Catelan Dragons and was then able to play in the SuperLeague throughout England via that.

Remember that's where Setiamata Sa went as well, and he had a criminal record.

So whether it's union or league, France is definitely an option.

And one I can only hope he may take up. No one will know him over there and he can get as pissed as a fart whenever he wants, no worries.
