I think in hindsight Carney was made a scapegoat by Brian Smith. In fact, I recall an interview in which Nick said he regretted what happened.

FPN is back after being sacked for the same offence.

Dunno if people remember, but he was NEVER a dirtbag with us. He had 2 incidents...
1. He got done DUI with 0.02 or something like that in his system the morning after (only done because he was on his Ps).
2. Got sacked for having a quiet drink during an Anasta-imposed booze ban (which wasnt publicly announced and was stupid).

Thanks for all the advice about my brain fart post guys, now I realise how stupid I was. Carney can't tackle, he hasn't got the ability to play dummy half in todays game, I don't know what I was thinking, the guy is practically a spastic. How lucky I am to be able to learn from the giant footy brains on here. Well I must be a moron, because I still reckon he would be a revelation as a hooker with one of the best combined running, passing and kicking games I have ever seen.

After watching Todd Carney speak on Fox tonight about wanting to finish off in the NRL, and saying he would agree to a no alcohol clause in his contract I reckon he would be an awesome Hooker, with the ability to play half, 5/8. or fullback in an emergency, even if he ended up a bench utility, it could prolong his career for another 3 years. When he came to us in 2010 I backed him to win the Dally M at 34 to 1......only $50 bet but a sweet win. The guy is a footballer through and through, and off the piss he is a game breaker. Love to see him in the RW &B.

You really think Carney would do well defending in the middle against the Taumalolos, the Frizells etc? He would get steamrolled.
