Ryan Cross never played Origin, Fletch and Lam had both moved on by that time.

Mini would have been in the NSW team, Hegarty and Crock probably in the Qld team.

Will depend if Toops is back but been out so long will need to be truly fit to play - Don't think Reece Robinson will get a run but who know's as Robbo should go defence this game as Tigers do like to offload and move the ball - team otherwise from - extended bench of 9 - 4 to select.

2004 could have been: Freddy, Wing, Mini, Finch, Fitzy, Flannery, Crocker, Hodges and Hegarty. I can’t remember if Ricko had retired from rep footy by then.

Forwards need to step up as does the defence - The selected side will not score a lot of points one has to say so defence will be paramount (stopping offloads/second phase play etc) as well as limiting errors and penalties. Chance of light rain and 30 km's winds so the long and short kicking game will be important on the rye grass with minimal dew expected and 16 or so degrees. SST will need to do lot of goal kicking practice as a real arm wrestle is expected and penalty goals could decide the game.

Need to complete sets and take opportunities presented as there wont be many one expects.- A Must win for the Chooks
