  • Hedger's Heroes and Zeros - Rd 13 vs Tigers

    1. Fergo 5 - Rocks and Diamonds. 0 during his horrible mistakes, 10/10 at other stages. Averages to 5
    2. Ikuvalu 4
    3. Manu 6
    4. Aubo 5
    5. Tupou 7.5
    6. Keary 5.5
    7. Cronk 8 - Hero of the Week. Attack, defence and kicking all very strong. Stepped up and led to side
    8. JWH 6
    9. Friend 6
    10. SST 7 - Would’ve been close to 8 if he didn’t drop that last one
    11. Victor 8 - Gets more impressive the more he plays
    17. Butcher 6.5
    13. Liu 6

    14. Tetevano 7
    15. FPN 5
    16. Baptiste 4
    19. Collins 6

    Robbo 6

No one played poorly enough to deserve the Zero. Good win without our SOO players but still much to improve on

Hard game to score as both sides didn't offer a lot in attack which was easily combated by the defence structures put up by both teams

              Rooster Attack.

Not much to write home about - very much a defence game - try from a fumbled kick and good try assist pass from the unpredictable Fergo - Lui spilt the pill with a try on from a bat back and no support for Radley's Long break - first tackle should have done better than they did to score a meat pie - quick hands and passing to the left would have resulted in a try but didn't.

Roosters a 4 out of 10 for attack -Sure players out but attack really needs to start to get a wriggle on in improvement as that and so far this season won`t cut the mustard going forward.

              Roosters Defence

Tigers not known for their attack and showed again today/evening that was the case but did score two tries - one from a kick and one from lazy marker defence - Errors and penalties puts pressure on the defence something the Chooks need to eliminate as better teams than the Tigers will capitalise on this. Robbo must be holding the attack back for later season games as otherwise the defence will be under pressure always?

Roosters a 4 out of 10 for defence - basically the Tigers hardly threw anything at them and any NRL side should be able defend this- nothing special

Roosters 8 out of 20 divided by 2

              Roosters a 4 out of 10

              Robbo

Same old problems - errors/ mistakes/ discipline/attack issues - yes players missing but would they have played differently if all players on deck?- A lot of work to do on all facets of their game.

              Robbo a 4 out of 10

Ok the Roosters were far from convincing but a fail for all facets of play and the coach? King Salvo is in a mean mood.....I think he still hasn’t got over Latrell steam rolling Michael Gordon last week.....or even worse Tedesco running around Gordon

You do realise that the Chooks only won by 2 points against a side that was predicted to be wooden spooners who have trouble scoring points and you now want this win to be recorded as above average or greatest win ever perhaps- You are kidding yourselves - Chooks still had a very large contingent of rep players playing today compared to Wests Tigers - 11 rep players out of 17.

Chooks are playing below average and anyone/everyone can see that after 13 rounds. Need to really get a wriggle on and improve if they want to be a premiership chance.

I remember your Salvo`s grubber when he was playing for the vermin in 1996 - mmm 62-0 Defeat - best to get across the other side of Anzac Parade and follow them instead.

As Robbo said the chooks are playing at 30-40% capacity and have a lot of progression left in them - justifies my ratings I suggest

Only just watched the game on replay.

Gary's hero of the week - 3 way tie between Toupo, Radley and Fergo.

Toupo - 2 tries, good metres and one of the best try saving tackles you will ever see.

Radley - What a footy player. Looks like Billy Slater, plays like SBW.

Fergo - Made the line break that lead to the Cronk kick Toupo try, 2 goals from the side line, line break and try assist pass for Toupo, and flattened Fonua at the end. Even his knock on at the end drew us a penalty which got us down field and ultimately the winning TKO penalty goal.

Special mentions to Nat Butcher who had his best first grade game yet and Lindsay Collins whose off the bench stint had some very strong carries and crunching tackles.

No zeros, I really enjoyed this game of footy.
