why does our coach need these type of things in order to give Radley more game time. Radley should be starting and playing the full 80 now, he is fast becoming one of our best players. I wish coach robbo would for once take the blinkers off and reward those that perform the best and deserve it.

I actually think it could be the opposite. It's not advisable to get surgery done when you have concussion or any sort of sickness for that matter due to the anesthetic. He probably had to wait till he was feeling better before he could get it done

I guess that explains why he hasn't had the surgery yet. The fact they have announced it now suggests he is OK to have surgery.

Sadly for him, Radley has stormed past him and will command his starting spot, and rightly so.

I'm not so sure. Matterson does have a big body for running those lines off Cronk. I was Sitili to get a crack.

would prefer a big bopper to come into the team, having baptiste, aubo and radley is madness. surely collins or farmer silly can come in for a couple of weeks

I am sensing wisdom in The Coachs use of Victa.

Ease him off the bench. Actually hold him back a little.

Long term he will be a starter. But for now he would burn himself out most weeks, hes a young energetic carnt.

The impact alone he adds when he comes on proves that. He is at a zillion miles a second.

                    Exciting prospect though. Massive future.

Robbo cops plenty of unwarranted shit on this site but how hes handled the debutants over the last 5 seasons has generally been on the mark IMO.

                    You know it makes sense.

I agree, one thing Robbo has become good at is easing players into the game at the right pace.

The hard part is hanging onto them when they come good and another club is willing to pay overs for them.

Hoping Matto makes a quick and full recovery. Earlier in the season people were saying that he's been one of our best. At the very least, you want a strong squad.

When he's fit he'll be pushing for a place in the 17. One possible option is keeping Aubo in the centres and playing Matto off the bench. Joey Manu sometimes shows glimpses, but I'm not convinced yet. Aubo is not a great centre, but he gets the job done and with Teddy, Latrell, Fergo and Toops we have enough strike power to score lots of points.

Robbo is doing the absolute best thing by him. As tough as Radley is and as good as he is, Robbo has been easing him into it. He's still a kid. A kid who is gonna be a Chook for the next 10yrs. There's no rush.

Matto out for 2 weeks is a blessing in disguise.

I don't agree in this instance. Sometimes a special player comes along and deserves to be starting due to his performances. Performances not age warrant whether you should be holding someone back or not. His performances this year have put the rest of our pack to shame. You need to reward the ones that perform the best. We are a far better team when he's on the field as opposed to when he's on the bench
