Gold Coast forward Ryan James, Cronulla prop Matt Prior and Sydney Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary have been added to the NSW State of Origin squad for next Sunday's game two in Sydney.
The only player missing from the team who beat Queensland 22-12 in the series opener at the MCG is Penrith's Reagan Campbell-Gillard, who broke his jaw on Friday night against the Roosters.
Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell will need to prove his fitness after suffering a neck injury in the same game, while Canberra's Nick Cotric - 18th man for the Blues in game one - has been left out of an expanded 20-man squad.

Just started a similar thread. Isn’t it great news?

Radley as prop?? I don't think so ever - Ryan James deserves the chance in front of Matt Prior - bit surprised another centre hasn`t been added since Latrell would be in doubt - Keary will only play if Maloney is out injured - Fergo would only come into calculations as a winger replacement along with Cotric if either T Turbo or Addo-Carr are ruled out injured.

Cotric is very unlucky not to have been named.

Imo, he, along with Latrell and Cleary are the background of the NSW side for the next ten years or so. Give the kid a shot and let them grow in sky blue together.

Interesting confirmation that Keary is #2 behind Maloney. Who would kick conversions if Maloney was out?

PS - loving Fergos ability to convert!!! He has slotted a few from our wide now (actually, has he missed any?)

I think young Cleary might be a decent sort of goal kicker.

Cotric will get his shot , freddy is not afraid to give young blokes a crack, wich is a welcome change to the boring pick and stick with old dinosours who have lost series after series.

Have you been watching Latrell kick for the Roosters?

Wouldn't be surprised if Fittler picked Keary to start over Maloney in the second game.

Let’s hope so. I know he’s not a Rooster but I love watching that kid do his stuff.

Maybe if NSW take the series in game 2, he might get a shot at being blooded in game 3.

I thought Keary had declared himself a Queenslander years ago when he was having that breakout season with Souths, didn’t he refuse to play for NSW or was that someone else?

As a NSW fan... meh not sure why we are picking a Qlder.

As a Roosters fan... Very happy for him, I love the ticker and commitment he shows every single game. There's not much to him but he always puts his body on the line and is deserving of the recognition. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays as a utility if Mitchell gets ruled out and Peachey shifts to the centres.

Maloney was in some back pain nearing the end of Friday nights match, not surprised Keary has been called in as cover!
