  • Roosters have now flogged two of the current top 4 teams - signs?

Was just thinking... we have now kept the Warriors scoreless and (but for a silly Tupou error) woulda kept the Riff scoreless. In both games we piled on more than 30 points. Is this a sign we're the real deal?

PS - WTF is Ryley Jacks doing starting for the Drizzle? That's sorta funny.

We are still playing below our potential and all.
I just hope we time our run right this year.
The way we're defending is good. Penrith would've scored more points against any other team I reckon..

I think we also dominated the Dragons pack but way too many mistakes and a bad video ref call and the game got away.
The return game at the end of July will be our benchmark imo.

We dominated the Dragons but were poorly lead around the park by our star recruit halfback.

Where has the sack Robinson crowd disappeared to lately? Where are the Brad Arthur and Paul Green cheerleaders today?

I agree with your post, but with my IQ, who would know what to think?
But good to see you have intellegent contributions when your in the mood.

I'm sure the "sack Robinson crowd" are in the background death-riding us from their lairs.

He gets the pats on the back when the side is wining but deservedly gets the kicks in ass when we play like crap...That's just the way it is in just about every sport.

The positive is we are 2 points behind the Dragons (with the bye) and haven’t clicked into gear yet, plenty of improvement left in us..Here’s hoping this team is playing its best footy come September

Friday night's performance against a team that has been going well suggests we might be the real deal, but I think we need to put a few more good performances on the board before we can say we're where we want to be.

We thrashed a Warriors team without half their spine and the Panthers would be strengthened by the return of Mansour, Kikau etc.

That said, Friday was definitely a step in the right direction.

The problem with that logic is you’re changing your tune every other week instead of, you know, supporting the team.

This comp is there for the taking.
i cant see a stand out team yet that i think will win the comp. Most top 4 teams have been patchy . It will be a missed opportunity i feel if the chooks dont win the comp. Without being too 1 eyed if i had to put money on any team now it would be the chooks because we look the team to have the most room for improvement

As long as we flog souffs and the perpetual frauds of the comp Illawarra socks I'll be happy, we are starting to play the way I thought we would in rd1. Melbourne are our main rivals in 2018. I've already backed a Roosters Storm gf with sportsbet.

As we would be strengthened by having SST back, plus Napa & Mitchell for full games.

I reckon Latrell could have run riot in that second half, especially when Peachey was off.

Plus Matto. It will be interesting to see who misses out if everyone was available.
You would think Baptiste is one but I get the feeling he will keep his bench spot.
