Angus Crichton
NSW Blues forward Angus Crichton has rubbished rumours he is considering backflipping on a deal to join the Roosters next year.
Crichton signed a three-year contract to join the Bondi club from 2019 in pre-season, committing his 2018 campaign to South Sydney.
But now the Rabbitohs are looking like a genuine NRL premiership threat and Crichton’s last season in the cardinal and myrtle could culminate in a maiden grand final.
The success of the Bunnies has prompted reports this week Crichton is considering tossing his Roosters deal in the bin and re-signing with South Sydney in the hope of winning a title in the coming seasons.
But the Origin rookie was blunt when asked about the speculation on Wednesday.
“I’ll pour cold water on that,” he told foxsports.com.au.
Crichton reaffirmed his commitment to honour the three-year contract with the Chooks from next season.
He was previously in the Roosters system when he played junior football for Bondi United and with the SG Ball side.
