It's no secret at the moment Wing is better then the hookers we have, thats obvious. But the facts are by the time he would be back he would be 30-31. How much longer does he have in him?

We only offered him a 2 year deal in 07 because of his age. So what the hell are we supposed to do now? Give him a 3 year deal at the age of 31? That would seem pretty stupid to me.

I like Craig Wing he is a quality player. I don't hold a grudge that he went to the vermin he took the best deal available. But we should be looking to the future. We should be keeping players that will be good not just for 1 or 2 years, but for 10 years.

The bloke took money for nothing for 2-3 years but all some people can remember is the few months he performed for his Vermin contract.

What i can't understand is the reason he left was for the security of a 4 year deal compared to the 2 year deal we offered him. Now 3 years later we are prepared to give him what a 2-3 year deal?

it was not just the length of the deal, the other major contributing factor was the 3rd party agreements we couldnt secure at the time, which the vermin "apparently" could (which have subsequently fallen through).

so in 2009, we are offering a 2-3 yr deal PLUS secured 3rd party agreements, which are equal to or more than what the vermin offered him. thats the clincher.
