Mario it's not about my hindsight it's about the people in the club who's job it is to recognise talent. It seems that we have no one with any idea. Why do you think Brisbane signed him? Here is a club who hasn't missed the semis for 20 years and have won 6 premierships in that time, they're doing something right. I'd say The Broncos are a thousand times smarter than the Roosters, wouldn't you? and also don't presume that I was bagging Tupou last year, I was always a fan. He was the best forward we had by a long way and I was extremely pissed off when he was allowed to leave. When he played in our under 20 side, he was not performing well, at the start of this season, thie wing spot was contested between wintersten and Yao Yhe, if Yao Yeh had of played better in the first couple of games, the story could have been differet.
it is not as easy as saying, "he is an ex rooster, he is killing it somewhere else, we should have kept him"
In reality, as i said earlier, the way we are going at the moment, would winterstein have made a difference and secondly would he be playing this good if he was in our side at the moment??
the Answer to both is NO. and in reality, if wif we were winning, you would not even be considering Winterstein to return.

Sometimes players leave beacuse they want to. Occassionaly it is their choice and not the clubs to go to another team. There have been examples where there is no mention of a players potential until he has moved to another club and IF he performs there is a cry that we should not have let him go.
It would be interesting to list the amount of players that played with the Roosters in the last 5 years, that have now gone to other clubs and how they are performing. I am not just talking about entrenched first graders, but all the juniors as well.
