For a nice change, these dumb-fark refs could not deny a easts victory!
The Gallen knock-on 'try' was disgraceful.

the Townsend one was a disgrace. It's so bad a medicab gets sent off the field with no one on it. LOL. Ten seconds later his up on his feet playing the ball and playing on like nothing ever happened

The medicab was brought on in the hope that it would cement the penalty. Low dogs lie down.
And at one stage, were they allowed another kick off when their players looked like being offside?

Someone forgot to tell the gummies this is Rugby League and NOT soccer.

Let me add just a little balance here by saying JWH's try should have been disallowed as Ryles clearly obstructed Luke Douglas. How that was a try is beyond me and if the positions were reversed, I would have been livid. John Williams' second try was therefore a squaring of the ledger.

Spot on! One all and no harm done.

Once again supporting the theory that our referees are not corrupt, just useless.

Very retarded effort by those in control! Go Easts.

Agreed, but the difference is JWH's should have, but didn't go up upstairs, and would have been disallowed if it did.
How the video ref could give that Williams try after an obvious Gallen knock on is beyond me. Square up or not, the bloke should be chopped, absolute disgrace

I loved the look on Steve Lyons' face while Gallen demanded a penalty, the ref's love the drama as they are all gigantic egos.

Doesn't matter. Ball is not in play till it is kicked.

I loved it when Gallen was asking the ref if he saw last night's game? The ref had to remind him of the "benefit of the doubt" he was given when his try was awarded when really what he was saying is that he did not agree with the video ref but he had to go with the decision. Gallen is a fair dinkum sook. Lyons mentioned the "benefit of the doubt" try more than once....
