Which contradicts Freddy’s comments of Boyd having a run around this afternoon to have a feel of where he’s at..

Apparantly the decision will rest solely on Boyd, which in my opinion means he will play even at 70% to prove his commitment.
and the Roosters are the ones that suffer when he tears the calf muscle again in SOO3 and misses 6 weeks.

Shush we're not allowed to be frustrated that Origin maims our players.

We're supposed to be thrilled to see Cordner wreck himself in a dead rubber and not play ANOTHER club game afterwards.

Who would give away a chance to earn another 30k?

Origin is here to stay, regardless of who is crippled with it along the way.

He is a captian of our club... he needs to put our season above a waste of time game that means NOTHING.. if he forces himself to play i will begin to question his leadership at our club... we need a captain who puts his team first.. origin should be a bonus.. thats all.

            I agree with you mate..
The fact he has played 2 Origin games and the Club has allowed him to rest the week after shows the Club is looking after him..
But he is acting extremely selfish by not repaying the Club and deciding to play Origin at less than 100%..
            It’s just not good enough!

But...if you are selected for higher honours (rep footy) ..I guess that then becomes your priority....right?

Origin or no Origin missing our true captan is telling especially when it comes down to dealing with the refs. It was there for all to see the refs contempt shown to Friend against the Storm.

                      Geez guys quit whinging.

Who cares if his continued absence costs us a spot in the top 4 and ultimately a Premiership.

                      The Blues won Origin!

                      Priorities.

Yes it does during that time..
But if you are knowingly playing injured considering your history that becomes extremely irresponsible and stupid in my opinion..

It's no surprise. If memory serves correct Cords did his ACL in 2013 but they said it could be managed with a bit of rest, like Jimmy in 2014. Anyway Cords got selected for Country and went against the advice to play. And it's been that way ever since. They want the highest honours and play injured to achieve them. Last year after he got injured in Game Two he didn't play for the club to be ready for Game Three. He wasn't really ready for Game Three and we got well beaten. But the decision was left up to Boyd.

That's where the fault lies. It should be up the medicos. Then there is the money angle as rep players are so well paid for SOO. So they constantly make themselves available. Pearcey did this in 2016 even after Daley had virtually ruled him out. Mitch had only just returned from Thailand rehab. The cynics said he wanted the money to pay his fine. Regardless, the money is always a big factor. And it's a plain fact the the clubs get the short stick on this.

Like all of us, I hope he pulls up well. And not like a Tommy Smith trained horse, over raced into early retirement, chasing the big bucks. He gives 100% for everything. But for mine, it should be a doctor's decision and never up to the player as has been reported.
