  • Scott prince and carney swap

Mark your words - titans want carney and we will get prince.

2 year with one year optional.

I think carney will fail again on the coast where it's a party town all year round.
Prince will do well if he captures last years form.

What is everyones thoughts on this - i like it ?

Great player but injury has ruined much of his career.

If it means Anasta playing in the backrow and stuffing up the balance of our pack

      then

      NO WAY

Might be ok, if we play Pearce at 5/8, and leave Prince at halfback. Would also solve a goal kicking dilema we have. As for Anasta, I would prefer him gone, but it looks like we have him for at least one more season, he's definately not a backrower, so he has to be good enough to hold down a centre position, in the side, or battle it out to retain a spot in the bench make up. But I'am hoping Moga has a big off season, and is ready to step up to first grade next season, if you are good enough, you are old enough, that has been proved many times over. Lets hope for a solid finish to the season, to give us a solid base to build on, for next season.

I would be happy with Prince he would help Pearce out alot watching this weeks game i think Pearce need another dominate ball player to help him out which he is not getting with Anasta. I would be very happy to have Prince he next year and suffer with Anasta for one more year in the forwards

            problem with this scenario.

Currently titans are without a recognised 5/8, losing their experienced halfback to gain a wayward but talented 5/8 Leaves them in the same situation........without a noted halves pairing.

It may explain why Presto is retiring after signing on for another year.

I would cop Prince if he brought Mead with him.

Gallop reportedly said that the NRL will virtually stop Carney signing with another NRL club if the Roosters board rips up his contract.
Given that Carney broke no NRL 'bringing the game into disrepute' rules and only broke a club alcohol ban that should never have been anyway[along with half the team reportedly], ...Carney should sue the NRL, and the new Commission for 'restraint of trade' in that case.

I voted for Gallop NOT to be appointed the CEO of the new you-beaut NRL/New Commission....in the Daily Drag's online NRL poll.

I hope this rumour is completely off the mark.

                        Really can't see this happening.
Here on the Gold Coast,Watts has been seen already as a bad influence (and a grub), so why would they want more potential strife?
Apparently it is all to do with a supposed fallout between Bird & Prince, denied by all, of course.

Prince at 32 next year has already passed his use by date Whereas carney at 25 has his best years ahead of him. Mead is a great but if were playing fantasies, I'll have Locke.

                              Finally, you'd have a halfback.

Not a fair swap though, I'm not sure Prince has enough immaturity and booze problems.
