They complemented eachother very well out there.
Literally the number 1 question I have coming out of the game is why the frick doesn't Keary do more kicking.

Keary wasn't great but geez he was a hell of a lot more involved than he has been in a long time and that's an exciting thing to see.

    • No better feeling than after a Roosters win ...

      • A good win under the circs.

We finally got some "nice" calls...due I guess.

I think the big winner from tonight is Robbo...he backed his judgment for this game in resting players and came up trumps.

We have some handy guys waiting in the wings...Ikuvalu, collins, momirovski, farmersilly, osully.

        • Fantastic win by the boys they really stood up and those types of wins with players out can make your season. Our defence was once again outstanding and the young fellas played particularly well . Good to give our Rep boys a freshen up heading into the back end of the year. We are in the top 4 and our destiny lies in our hands from here on in.

Just quietly his penalty kicks for touch were a welcome change also

              • Why is our win being called controversial by the NRLs own official reporting?

                1. Take away O,sullivans try and we still win.
                2. The try was legit.
                3. Why doesnt Sam Burgess get charged with bringing the game into disrepute if his half-time rant has questioned the integrity of the refs and made fans wrongly feel that the call was controversial?

I think tonight show cased Robbo's true value to this club.

We brought in a bunch of debutant's who seemed to pick up our systems with ease, all had strong showing's and held our great defence.

That's not luck, that's years and years of hard work.

Undoubtedly the contest would've been a lot different without SOS's try but to suggest we still wouldn't have won is a bit of a stretch. I thought we were the better side for the majority of the game.

We outclassed them in almost every category.

                  Possession
                  Completions
                  Run Metres
                  Missed tackles
                  linebreaks
                  Tackle breaks

The only thing they pipped us in was offloads.

Luck always plays its part in every game, I don't agree that we got 'extremely lucky tonight' though.

I think we got what we deserved, the win!

                  • Robbo mentioned the O’sullivan try was the correct call as the pads were behind him and the ball went backwards into the pads, and then he regathered to score..

                    I completely agree with him,fair try !

                    • Indeed.

We were still the best team by a mile.

And I maintain that it should have been a penalty try anyway. Or at worst Wallace should have been sin binned.

Exactly. People on here bang on about Bellamy and the Storm and their great systems and structures and how they don’t miss a beat when players are forced out.. Well Robbo just debuted 3 young players along with a couple of others who’ve played only a few games each in Collins and Ikavalu, and they slotted nicely into our systems. Bellamy is called a genius when this happens but Robbo is called lucky?

The O’Sulluvan try was dodgy yes but gee the Titans were playing at home against a depleted Roosters and they really should have won that game. We were the better team regardless of the ‘lucky’ refereeing. Some posters just have agendas against Robbo and can’t admit they were wrong in bagging him for resting players.

kinda like what happens down at Melbourne with ballamy, very impressive by robbo. Helped we had 2 weeks to prepare for it

                          • When GC scored their second try when that forward crashed over, there was s forward pass in that play. I was directly in line with it and sitting up high and it was definately forward.

Yeh the pass out of dummy half to Latu looked very suspect.

                              • there must be some kind of record set last night. Does any one ever remember 3 debutantes all scoring tries in their first game in one game
