I respect the posters I have mentioned above but I must pin you in the corner and as do you really think our discipline has been more than 200 penalties worse than a shi.t house side like Cronulla over the last 4 years? Come on, I know you guys are intelligent, can't you consider something I s amiss here?
The flip side of your question though is, why would we be singled out? I just can't see a reason why that would happen. Back in the 70s and 80s when you had admininistrators with very strong club ties, like Arko, it was pretty easy to believe dodgy shit was happening, but these days I just can't see it.

In our case its probably just a combination of a bit of bad discipline, plus the fact that we're probably paying for having a bad rep. Its been happening for a few years now, so refs probably just keep a closer eye on us because of our rep. Its become self fulfilling.

We need to pull one of those stunts clubs do every now and then, where they make a big song and dance about losing penalty counts, get a ref to come along to training sessions and make a big show of trying to change the perception of being an ill disciplined club. Whinge long and loud every time we lose a penalty count. Threaten to run a ref over with a cement truck every now and then. Learn to bend the rules in subtle ways, instead of putting a giant Samoan hand on the ball and reefing it hard as you can in full view of the ref, Mose Masoe style.

I get what you mean, even if others do not.

        Hate.
For not selling our club and souls.

We stood against them, those in suits who were hatching takeover plots under the trees in the dim light out near the mens toilets at the old Lang park.
I saw them, whispering in the shadows, away from prying eyes.

Then they attacked, and we stood firm...they will hate us forever more than one person says.

Todd is reportedly off to France, to the land of the Red, White, and Blue Rooster...from a club that defended its fields from invasion.
        How appropriate it all is:

Just change the words to apply to the war that took place as the ARL loyal clubs and their 'soldiers' fought off the invaders:

        Citizens, ...fans.

        March on...we certainly did that.

"Let's go, children of the Roosters"

What the **** happened to you arsehole? When yor team was constantly getting its fluffy bottom rammed by everyone, you were here and we took you under our wing, being the pathetic, sad, retarded little souffs cousin that you are.

You arse a couple of games and all of a sudden youre in everyone's face again.

What the **** happened to you? Did rehab really change you that much?

Well I don't know why we would be singled out. But Ox, I don't see why there should be any more faith shown in the current owners of the NRL than poor old Arko. Why would News Ltd have a vendetta against us? I don't know. I suppose we could ask Phil Rothfield, he is paid by them. Or am I imagining he has it in for Easts too? I admit I am a one eyed easts fan so I can't see anything clearly!

I see it all clearly, crystal clearly...and I see persecution.

The penalty statistics listed here show it ... true.

I 'do' know ...we told them "NO"!

I find it highly amusing listening to the back and forth between players and the refs. There are not many sports were you get to hear this interaction..

                Anasta and the ref..
                Gallen and the ref..
and Thaiday and the ref were all crack-ups over the weekend..
