      Simple:

Their home game, Robinson the ref [have we ever won a game under him?], the Jack Gibson Cup, they're out to avoid the spoon, fine day/night, they played well last game although losing, and their players will be going all out...their 'Origin' night, they'll lift.
I predict a big and vocal crowd..."Parra", "Parra"...getting behind their players.

They're last on the ladder, but our line break specialist and top goalkicker is suspended.
Our team has played better recently...hopefully that will be enough.

With a big and vocal crowd that stadium becomes a 'cauldron'.

More like, With a tape recorder playing a recorded "Parra" chant, the place becomes a JOKE

Is there a worse centre pairing in the NRL than Horo and Smith?

SKD to bag a hat-trick..(Horo to score at least one through SKD also).

Justin Carney may even get over the line against Ben Smith.

Parra are very hard to beat home, I think the average penalty count is 9-3 for them at home.

The best teams in the comp have struggled beating them there.

If our NYC team win I'll be fine with an entertaining, fairly refereed free flowing match in Firsts no matter who wins.

That's true but they are coming last. But if the penalty count ends up anything like that, we'll struggle. They'll be fired up to avoid the spoon and the rumour is Hayne is going back to fullback.
Go chookies! Lets make it 3 in a row!

I think Tasi deserves his starting spot.

I like the way he bends the defensive line.

Oh no, the Hain train express will be coming from the back.

Best we put some big trees on the track.

                          Chooks 13+ @ $4.75, couldn't resist
Parra will be gone after 20 min, their GF was last week
I expect backrowers to be hitting the line hard off Pearce all night

The great thing about Tasi's game is that on top of his physical play, he has a big motor.

Always played big minutes in NYC as well as Newtown.

As Fitzy said the Eels' form at home is strong. They have beaten the Cowboys and Tigers. drew with the Drags, lost by 4 points to each of Broncos and Manly and 6 points to the Storm.

Also I have rarely seen a game where ALL the motivational factors favour one team so pointedly. Eels are at home, desperate to avoid the spoon and Hayne was quoted as saying that they are treating it as a "season defining game". We are away, can neither get the spoon nor make the finals and are playing in a game with little attention being paid to it due to Manly v Storm. An even bigger factor will be the temptation to have our minds on next week. A last round clash at home against the potential minor premiers is more or less the finals game you have when you haven't made the finals.

We won't get many plaudits if we win tonight, but I think we'll deserve a few if we do under the circumstances.
