Apparently he is still playing at the Catalan Dragons and is going alright

in saying that his halves partner is Josh Drinkwater who is carving up the comp so that shows the standard.

My not so favorite players of the past decade..
Mark O'Meley: 2009 - Played 11 games in his last year and delivered us the wooden spoon.
Paul Carter: 2017 - Had some brilliant ideas like selling fake merchandise to fans on Ebay and turning up to training

Bit hard on O'Meley I reckon.
Although not the player he once was, he tried his guts out while here, but kept being undermined by Mason, Fittler and the party boys like Pearce.

Can't argue with Carter , but my vote would go to Hastings for reasons mentioned by MR.

Langi come through ball and afl egg with us I think, so I could not put him in as a dud buy, you are right was a standout junior, but loved his kfc and pizzas

Mason was a massive cancer.

Nikorima was really a dud who never got going and cost decent coin.

Vautin was bad.
No grand final appearance this year and Tedesco and Cronk are short favourites to join.

Great player, but he had his best years at Balmain. One time he was picked from Easts reserve grade for the NZ national team and won man of the match!

Most have been mentioned but I would say you have gotta be more than a nice guy who did nothing to make this list (e.g. Hendo is cool, Piggy was a nice clown who bailed when he saw his form was non-existent and Anasta actually did a fair bit off the field). Also I cannot blame a young/old father for chasing the $$$. You have to be a tool who farked us over to make this list:
- Mason... we pulled a lot of strings to sign this Aussie rep who had a massive whinge about the salary cap. He delivered nothing on the field and did really stupid things during his private like.
- Watts... never played for us and STILL makes headlines as a controversial ex-Rooster. STILL!!!!
- Pyles... every year I would see this Kangaroo and Origin MOTM do nothing but shyte in hallways for us. Good one mate!!!
- Carney... single handedly got us into a GF and then single handedly destroyed our next 2 seasons.
- Cherry and Sa... dark that list of wife beaters just kept getting bigger when we were down on our luck. Fark these guys!
- Moga, Perrett and Mitchell make my list. All 3 got given a good deal from us and all 3 farked is over by leaving when we were on the ropes.
- That big boxing dude who was a standover man. Frigging useless thug!!!
- Nikorima. Gave him a contract and he snorted it up his nose!
- Hastings... gave him a free ticket and by all reports he disrespected it big time (all he needed to do was shut up and listen to Joey + Jake and he woulda been on $500k+ by now)
- Martin Kennedy... got us associated with a peptide dealer then came back when he knew he was gonna get done for possessing steroids or some shyte. Waste of time and space!
- I say this in hindsight but Pearce. We gave that damn guy sooo many chances. SO MANY!!!

Worst signings for the club in regard to having ability and scant respect for the jumper and team, definitely Anthony Watts & Paul Carter, plus Mason and Carney after first season. But here's a team purely from the last decade that would certainly get the fans off their seats...and heading for the exits.

For something different and I couldnt be farrked posting a new thread but I wanted to mention Stapo, Mitchell Paul and Charlie Taylor. Not for being shit recruits but for being Chookpen Legends who have influenced the way Rugby League is played and being the benchmark for excellence on this forum.

I think Mason was the worst recruit in the past decade.

For a so called international and rep player, he was the main reason why we ended up with the only spoon in my lifetime.

That game against the Cowboys, which we apparently threw, has what looks like his fingerprints all over it.

For someone to suggest that Teddy and Cronk if we fail to make the GF deserve to be mentioned in the same company as the likes of Mason suggests to me they do not have a grip on reality or they are a really poor judge of Rugby League talent, maybe both. LargeMike get a grip, I am talking to you.
