  • Can Radley play 5/8 ?

Just wondering if he is an option to fill in for Keary for a few weeks. I know he has a pass and some speed, and his edge defence would be a bonus . Does anyone know if he has played in the halves before? I have heard that Matterson is a possibility to do the job but I think he is too slow. I wasn't rapt on O'sullivan. and we have some very big games coming up. I am worried about the Cowboys this week, hope our blokes don't take them too easy.

Absolutely...but he hasnt a master kicking game.Either you use Lammy jr or O sully and have Rads roving as he has been doing and defensively protecting them.We need a kicker. As you saw Saints targeted Cronk after Keary went off.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Lam isn't in the top 30 so he is off the radar.

I want O'Sully to get it.

Yeah, I think we need another kicker in there. That said, Victor should get his hands on the ball more. He can create stuff.

SOS is the logical replacement. He has played 5/8 for Wyong the last couple of weeks and been pretty good. He’s had a taste of 1st grade now. He will also have Cronk with him for support. He has a kicking game and he is keen to prove himself.
            Less disruption to the team.
            Its a no brainer!

Watching the game v the Dragons, it was clear at times .Radley is being used as a third ball player. If Lam is unable to be used, then surely O’Sullivan/Cornish get the nod (for their kicking) and Radley gets used as he has been, for running/passing at the line?

This week there will be a shaming video session of last year's preliminary final.

LM scores tries. He doesn't set them up. And why weaken our best strength?

IMO quite a few players can (although Latrell is deadliest with ball in hand so shouldnt kick).

                    Options include:
                    - Cronk (can kick in play funnily enough)
                    - Osullivan
                    - Radley
                    - Matto
                    - Baptiste

Keary is a big loss but we have so shortage of talented slot-in utilities. Two are now back rowers, but IMO it can be lethal when the last play kicking is shared, leaving teams guessing a bit and having to look out for who is calling for the kick (from 2nd tqckle onwards really). We will be fine.

Would have been good to give Lam a run tbh. Especially given the way we have been running lately, the risk would be a lot lower. In fact, I think we could play Sandy Campbell at 5/8th right now and we’d still win.

On the kicking side of things, I’m petrified Friend will take it upon himself to step up

id go with SOS at 6 but hey I’m just a supporter, not the coach

Really think SOS should get a run at 5/8. We have enough fire power across the park so we need two halves that can kick and pass.
