I'm a little disappointed that we don't have a 4 forward bench again this week. I like the added penetration we get and we are no doubt at our best when the pack gets a roll-on. With Aubbo & Radley in the side we definitively have enough versatility to cover for Jake or an injury in the 3/4's when & if required.

Remember that Baptiste was number 17 last week.

It means nothing until 1hr before kick off.

I'd like to see Butcher ahead of Collins, though.

Collins is a plodder, i prefer Butcher. Plus the clumsy oath took out Keary albeit by accident but at this stage he doesn’t have the lateral defence of a Butcher.

O'Sullivan or Baptiste will certainly play, there has to be some cover should Cronk or Friend go down.

I hope that O'Sully will be in there.

If he is there and Aubbo is on the bench then if it doesn't work out Robbo can always sit him down and move Matto there.

My gut says that Robbo being more defensive in nature may just put Matto there, which will kill our attack when it is just starting to fire.

Just like last week when we only had 1 prop on the bench in the initial 21, this week we have no replacement lock with neither Victor or Liu likely to play 80. I can see probably 2 things happening before kick-off.

              1. SOS plays 5/8 and Matto moves to the bench to rotate at lock with Victor. Baptiste comes out of the side
              2. If Matto does end up playing 5/8, Butcher will probably come in for Baptiste and be the reserve lock

If this happens Aubo will most likely rotate with Liu at right second row and be our primary injury cover anywhere else

Early in the week, but if Matto ends up playing at 6 that's okay by me. Cows have a pretty impressive forward pack and an extra big body would come in handy.

Hope robbo shows the boys a clip of last years prelim to fire them up! They can’t take this game lightly.

The cows have a strong pack wth McLean and Scott back

Any else getting dejavu with Matterson and Aubusson filling in against the Cowboys.
Let’s hope the coaches coach helps Trent.
                    ..it’ll be interesting to see

True. I'll be watching the first cull 24 hrs out to see who is still in the frame. If SOS is still in the 19 I reckon he'll play. I can't see Cornish getting a run ahead of him.

We all know Matto will defend nicely there. He has a pass in him ...Maybe he will suck the early exchanges and then Osully will get on.

I am also thinking the same mate..

Matto may start at 6 for the early exchanges and Sully to come on fresh when Robbo feels right!

I have a feeling this may not be the exact final 17.

If Matto is 6 he can short kick if required too.

Collins had a bad game on Sunday but he was doing alright before. How many bad games has Napa had? Many! Collins needs another game to get his confidence back. Lets remember he's young but full of energy.

As for 5/8....? I find Matto to be a straight runner that hardly breaks through the line but if he's put in there, then I'm hoping Robbo can set up ways to make breaks on his side, other than Mitchell.
