Agreed. It woulda been more like SOS on when we are up by 30+ so that we can blood him.

Last 20 in a game against a team with a retiring media-favourite 5/8, perfect completions and all the penalties going their way is no place to blood a tiny young half (just for the experience) who is leaving us anyway. Coach had the smarts! Leave Matto on so that we have an extra back rower out there in defence and prevent them from getting over the line. We did this successfully and will wake up tomorrow with the 2 points. That's all we needed...

What about the pass by the cowboys player who was tackled and on his back - are you really allowed to just lift your arm and pass off the ground when you are tackled and held lying completely supine???

From the dumbest fan in the NRL Only way sully was getting on the park was if we had an unassailable lead or were behind by more than 6 late in the game, or if injury forced Robbos hand. No way they would have exposed him to Taumolo at this stage of his career.

They way the Cowboys played in the second half we did very well to hang on for the win. Their completion rate, the penalty count and the refs not enforcing the 10 metres all made it a very tough assignment for us.Cowboys had momentum and I thought our scrambling defence in the last 20 won us that game. Losing Keary has had a big impact. Matto will be better for the run. He did have one grubber kick close to the line late in the second half, so he wasn’t totally without any contribution in that dept. Friend was passing to Cronk on last tackle all game as usual anyway. Main thing is we got the two points.
Really don’t know what we will get next week. Bit like a box of chocolates.

I thought we played well. The Cowboys would have beaten most teams in the NRL last night with that completion rate and we somehow dug deep and hung on at the end. Ask yourself whether you could see the Burgess twins being able to defend multiple sets on their line and then find the energy to make yardage off play the ball restarts close to their own line. Even when we were under pressure I thought we looked composed and thats a big change from previous seasons.

                          What a dumb thread.

That was an outstanding win against a Cowboys team who played their best game of the year by far. Trust them to save that effort for us.

When you go 33 for 33 sets at one stage with Lolo Scott McLean and Hess rolling you're gonna be bloody hard to beat. And on top of that the refs killed us.

This was a banana skin game that we had every right to lose. And we won.

How can you sook about that?

Many times you start the next game the way you finish your last and have seen that many times.
The look on all their faces after the final whistle was in line with having just lost a game.
I hope Robbo is mindful of that and gets the last 25 mins of last night out of their heads and thinking positive for next week.
Will be facing a very different beast.

Not really .If Keary was on we wouldve scored 30 in first half.
With Osully he shouldve put him on for 10m before half time .It wouldve been a high risk the way possesion went in the second half .Cowboys wouldve targeted him.
Thought Cordner had a bad defensive game...some lazy attempts one that lead to teddy flattened.
We are all probably dissapointed because we had the chance to get 2nd spot and make a run for first.
Keary is telling ...for the rest of our season.
