Thought Cordner had a bad defensive game...some lazy attempts one that lead to teddy flattened.
We are all probably dissapointed because we had the chance to get 2nd spot and make a run for first.
Keary is telling ...for the rest of our season.
That taumalolo try was on SST, not Boyd.

    SST just got caught walking.

so did Boyd JT ran through in between both ..on a bloke like that you move in and get him not watch your other forward make an attempt. The replay showed me just now Boyd clutching at nothing ..Id be scared too...lol

Yes it wasn't solely up tp SST. Cordner had to move to close that gap. Boyd was leading the missed tackle count earlier in the season. He definitely got scorched by Taumololo.

He was to the left defensive side and in front and Jason motored straight past him leaving Boyd clutching at thin air. It's not the first time he's been easily beaten near the line. Hunt stepped him badly in the Anzac game. Might have been gassed on both occasions though. I just know I wouldn't have wanted to be Teddy in front of a speeding locomotive ten yards out.

It's definitely 100% the inside defenders not working hard enough, Radley shot out of the line when he shouldn't have and SST didn't work hard enough to cover that hole. In a situation like that Boyd has to trust that his inside defender can make a 1 on 1 tackle because we were defending with 4 from post to sideline which is already 1 less than ideal. If Boyd jams in then it's a simple pass out the back for a 5 on 3.

No matter which way you cut it I can't blame Boyd for that try. You've got to trust the system and not try to fix the problem yourself.

Is it me or do you only post when you wanna make a negative comment? To be honest, to suggest Robbo is the dumbest coach.....may be officially the dumbest post I've read.

They'll still be knocking Robbo when we're holding the shield. They'll be saying we just 'bought it'. I think we've all been critical at some times about our predictability. Lately that seems to have changed and the team are playing what's in front as much as structure. Very different and great to watch. But built off defensive commitment first. And even the critics have to credit him for that. I was surprised that when the NRL polled 117 players that Robbo didn't make the first five as coach. Even if it was earlier in the season I would have though his prior reputation counted for more.

Those stats are always gumby though. I mean...
                              - How did Bellamy go with NSW?
                              - How many premierships has Cleary won?
                              - How did Bennett go with Newcastle?
                              - Where is Greens top-4 predicted team sitting on the ladder?
                              - How is Kearney doing since pinching stars from all over the place?

I know people don't like us but credit where due I reckon. Most of the guys in that list are either past it or flogs who have shown nothing.

Only half the top 8 sides got a win this week.

Looks like the dumbest coach in the league had a good week despite his lack of intelligence.
