I agree we need an overhaul but we need to do it with People who love Easts.
It depends if the people love Easts for the right reason RC.

Bringing in people who love Easts only because of the benefits they receive would be a backwards move.

For instance, I don't believe Gould loves Easts for the right reason. He loves Easts because he knows he can wield power there, not because he genuinely cares about the Club and wants it to succeed. If he had the same power at any other Club, he'd be there in a heartbeat.

Dennis Fitzgerald loved Parra, but do you reckon he was the right person to lead them in the past 10 years? No, but he was determined to keep control of his fifedom. And because he was a "Parra man" he was able to do far more damage than good to the Club he claims to love in the later years of his reign.

NC I said nothing about Gould. I would like to see people like Coote, Brass, Hastings, Ashton, Ayliffe etc etc.

He was just an example RC, of "bad love" as you can call it.

I reckon a lot of the people you've mentioned are not involved with the Club on a regular basis because they are not prepared to bow and scrape to those that run it. And they want no part of the agendas and ulterior motives that some of those individuals may have.

Football clubs have always been political minefields. And some ex players just can't tolerate the bullshit that comes with involvement.

I'd even be prepared to bring Fulton in, he can coach and he's played with us.

And he stripped this club of all its talent and took them back to manly.

**** Coggie, how could you forget and forgive that C? You talk about Easts men, and you go and get a ****ing bloke that always loved Manly, even when he played and coached us.

It's probably the wrong call but you have to admit he wasn't a bad coach. OK not Fulton but how about Bert Holcroft!.....Only joking

Laurie Frier.. I read the interview with Dane Sorenson and he REALLY rated Frier's coaching ability from the 84 season.

The trouble with Frieir was he thought he was the next Jack Gibson when he was really the next Craig Coleman.

You'll be advocating for Fatty Vautin to play a role at Easts next, Coggy.

I'd take either of the Storm assistants Dolphin, Kearney or Maguire.

Both will have benefitted from their time at the Storm, expec with the extra responsibilities they've had whilst Bellamy has been on Origin duty etc.

Agreed, and the beauty of either of those appointments is that they aren't mates with any of the players and likely won't take any of their crap. The fact that they've learned the trade under bellyache and at the storm is an added bonus.

You say another but who was the others?

Chris Anderson - hardly a failed coach
Ricky Stuart - Had only coached lower grades at the Dogs

We have to go along way back to find the last coach who had nothing to do with the Roosters and was a failure... Beetson would meet the latter part of the criteria but he had history with the Roosters.

Call me pedantic but you do talk a lot of shit and I just thought I'd pull you up on this one.

Anthing less then Kearney would be unsatisfactory.

Sharp is useless, Our mob would probably just give him heart disease.
