It's only one game, but it's nice to see the bunnies are deeply butt hurt that thy were humbled by us on their home ground.

Anthony Seibold, when asked if Easts are the best defensive team in the NRL, " (long pause).........no, they struggled to handle us up the middle.....you blokes look at the result, I look at the intent of our guys...let's play them again and see how they handle us up the middle".

A little bit of sportsmanship goes a long way, but I guess the Crowe influence makes sure that doesn't exist at Redfern.

Too bad he couldn't just face the fact and say his team wasn't good enough.

If we are not than who is?

Afterall we we kept the best attacking player in the game in Cook very quiet.

    Souff Sindy Butthurts.

      Too right mate.

Our coach may have the odd weaknesses but his main strength is his sportsmanship, humility and respect for the opposition, win or lose.

Cook was taken cared off and their attack on the line in the middle was covered unlike the last few weeks so I’m happy that Robbo got to it because that was a real problem. The vermin only we’re being kept in the game by silly errors and penalties... even the one for not playing the ball correctly which I couldn’t see it. I thought it had to be bloody obvious to give a penalty where as the twins play the ball in any angle and always move off the mark at an angle to try and get the marker penalised for not standing square.

I do like it when Fergo takes the ball because usually he draws a penalty because he’s always being held or he does milk it... a little. Even JWH drew a penalty when he was lashing out trying yo get up.... And

why didn’t GBurgearse get reported for the knee to the head on JWH...? Accident or not it’s still dangerous.

was thinking the same thing, you get penalised if a defender leads with the feet but diving into some ones head and ribs with knees is much worse. doubt he will charged at all

Well what about Hargreaves getting penalised for a so called high tackle on Sutton when the replay was shown it seemed like an aggressive pat on his head.

Defense won the game, however, with a bit more ball and Keary in this side, i think we would of blown them away

                      Precisely.

The fact is we did expend great effort containing them up the middle, but that is exactly what we did. Their only tries came from a lucky rebound and one of Fergo's unnecessary runs in off his wing in defence.

                      Boo hoo.

the arrogance and spin in the press conference reminded me of malcolm turnbull trying to justify giving $4oo million to his mates on the barrier reff!"well play them again and see what theyve got? and a battered and bested burgess could only say it was a tough game, noticed the badge on his sweater the grand old club! facts dont matter to them reality has never set in they ceased to exist after they were kicked out hence they nolonger have a 1908 history!

I said elsewhere that Fergo had no choice because Manu had gone into marker when he wasn't needed because there was enough cover so Maubbs moved to the right but not far enough to cover the chasm left by Manu so Fergo was caught in two minds.

I think JWH was at fault for the Hunt try. Watch the game and he went the lazy play and stood around at marker when all he had to do was stand on the right and that would have allowed Aubs to mark up and fergo to stay on his man.

What a farken tool Seibold is, their first try was off a lucky rebound and in fact wasn’t a try as a side on replay that was not seen until after the bunkers decision clearly show the ball hitting Reynolds upper arm and the second try was a complete fluke on the back of a couple of lame arse penalties. They had every opportunity to win and couldn’t. Their is far more upside in our game to theirs.

as for not handling them up the middle, Cook was outpointed by the much maligned and often one paced Jake Friend, The Bargearse brothers were owned by Pint Sized Victor and JWH and SST trampled over what was left.
