Of all the the prelim losses I would have to agree last year was the most disappointing. 2014, the refs handed it to Souths, 2015, SKD handed it to the Broncos, but last year it was there for the taking. I'm confident this year will be a different story, Cronk just oozes class and confidence unlike his predecessor who oozed panic and nervousness. If we can get Keary and JWH back without losing anybody else to injury I really think its ours to lose

I mistook your posts for a rival fan trying to get under our skin by calling us chokers, etc.
It appears however that you may just be another damaged roosters fan!! Which I fully understand.
That being the case, may I suggest you dare to be more optimistic in your outlook?
Apart from the 2014 PF, which has rightly been called out by many others as being a blatant stitch up, I agree our PF bow outs have been disappointing. The departure of a certain ex half back of ours, whom I greatly admired for many qualities that unfortunately did not include icing pressure finals games, makes us a different lineup this year. That is what Cronk has been brought here for. There is no doubt in my mind he brings a certain composure that we have been missing.
It is the nature of sport that nothing is certain. But we definitely have the team to go all the way this year. We have hit top form at the right time, and barring key injuries or refereeing stitch ups of 2014 proportions, even the non roosters rational side of me says we are the team to beat.
But this year I’m hoping we will go one step further to erase the past. Thanks.

Hope im wrong
If we make the GF (as you're suggesting) at this stage, without knowing who or how we're playing, we're probably about 50-50 to win it. But it's also possible that we won't make the GF, so coming second is therefore a less than 50% chance.
But I'm just being pedantic.

No prize for winning the minor premiership only to bow out in the finals. I’m sick of getting eliminated every final, It is a strategic problem because we have had the team to win the comp for many years but stuff ups in bench selections as well as risking injury to get that minor premiership have cost us dearly. Priority is the premiership nothing else.
• Minor Premiers ($100,000)
• Finals Week 1 loser ($20,000 per team)
• Finals Week 2 loser ($30,000 per team)
• Finals Week 3 Losers ($100,000 per team)
• Grand Final Runner Up ($200,000)
• Grand Final Winner ($400,000)
The spokesman said an additional $1.5 million was available to clubs reaching the Finals in corporate hospitality and cash incentives for achieving gate and attendance targets during the Finals.

I'm not buying it that we were stitched up in 2014. I really hope the players don't buy into that crap and take responsibility.
We were 12-0 up and attacking there line right to left if I remember and Sam Moa dropped the ball when we looked odds-on to go in again and kill them off.
That gave them a lifeline and they then upped their intensity in defence and you could see we were cooked and had no answer for it. Them is the facts as much as it hurt.
