How come opposition players are allowed to often 'bash' Cooper late after nearly every time he has kicked the ball, and often in high tackles...and nothing is done about it by the referees?

May have just been more noticeable the last few weeks as he has been our sole kicker and the opposition have been racing up on him knowing this. Somehow the coaches failed to come up with a second kicker coming out of our end to relive some pressure off Cronk

If they refuse to...Cooper should stay down and our players grab the ball and all rush over to see if he's ok....and stand around for '5 minutes' checking on his wellbeing.

Refs obviously aren't going to do anything about it...so he must stay down and "make them look at it".

Its not netball.
Ask yourself this, do you want your forwards to smash the opposition half ?
On a related note, watch this kid Lewis from the Bulldogs, he could kick then sit down and have lunch before anyone gets near himThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

It's up to the runner on the 5th tackle to win the ruck get a quick play the ball, Jake to hit cronk with a quick accurate pass and some forwards to block the marker chasers . Can't blame defenders for putting pressure on the kicker that's there job and hopefully we do likewise to there kickers.
