  • I have no doubt

that the last 4 weeks success can be attributed to two factors.

Firstly, the club cutting out the bad influences and letting the boys come together as a group to play for one another.

The other is the outstanding contributions people have made off the field in order to help Billy Gunn. It is occasions like these that draw upon the good will of fans and staff in an endeavour to bring the the club together.
At times I have felt we have been heading in the wrong direction over the last 5 years.
I take none of that back.

I see this as an opportunity to go foward.
    Forget signing big names.
Dont put up with rubbush from young men.
Instill pride in the jersey, develop comraderie based on mutual appreciation from fans and players alike.

I write this thread to acknowledge the hard work of Johnnie Tobin.
By far one of the biggest rooster tragics I have ever seen.
He, along with the "loveable" rogue Harry Flipps really united the joint during the week.
It is without doubt in my mind that this has contributed directly to us winning games.

Thank you Tobin, and good luck with your ongoing pursuit.
To instill as much pain and suffering to every player and supporter of the South Sydney Rugby league club.
    barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Well said and bang on the money.

The squad we have for next year is the start and passion should return quickly.

JT is one hell of a human being as are many here.
I am honoured to know such people outside of the internet (you know who you are) and
I was so happy to spend time with many of them on Thursday night.

I have met a lot of quality people with different pursuits.

The difference is JT loves the roosters in so much depth, it defines who is and what he is capable of acheiving.

                      I adore that!

                              Great post Trew.

                              Great night thanks everyone.

                              Great hangover thanks KB.

                              Great man that BG.

And you organisers of the event, amazing.

I met a lovely lady very late who was involved in helping BG and his family. JT, Horry, Jman, Rusty and quite a few others, you people just blow me away.

A lot can be said for being part of this club and the game in general. We see all the shit over the news but events like this one really make you think.

                              Blown away.

                              GO EASTS.

                              You know it makes sense.
