Cleary the same age as SOS/Lamb/Lam. Give the choice which would you prefer?

Good question Dice - I would go for Cleary only due to his experience. The Lamb signing certainly a interesting one for us , I think around 20 top grade games but I maybe be wrong. Robbo has continued his pattern of buying back up hookers and using them for half a season or a tad longer. Maybe the Lamb signing could be for the replacement hooker role.

I think this has more to do with Gus being pissed that Maloney has backed Griffin. It could though also be connected with the Panthers wanting Tyrone Peachey to break his contract with the Gold Coast. The Panthers have already told the Gold Coast that Peachey wants to stay at the Panthers.
It has to do with this:

Lamb is a 6 or 7 and had plenty of wraps and potential before Nathan Brown started screwing him around.

Andrew Johns has labelled him a halfback and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was influential in getting Lamd to the Club, given his ties with the Knights and his liking of Brock..

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Lamb is the player being groomed to replace Cronk..

Also Cleary is as overrated as his father, don’t want either at the Club!

Apparantly the Griffin decision was made without the players knowledge and Maloney was even quoted saying he found out in the paper..

Wouldnt be surprised if that put him offside with Gus and the board considering he was a fan of Griffin.

Maloney has been a fantastic player and had success at a lot of clubs but they all seem happy when he moves on, I know he has that loveable larrikan persona but I think he becomes a pain in the arse after awhile.

Bingo . They keep saying Jimmy has no memory because he can move on from a blunder and it doesn't effect his game. Only problem with that is the coach has a good memory .

It just comes down to dollars. Nothing more. All players have baggage. We wanted to keep him, but had a rising star coming up in Hastings. Sharks offered him double and he went.

Yes Joe I understand Lamb is a 6 or 7 and my mentioning of him being a replacement hooker was on the basis of Cronk and Keary playing together next year, whilst at this time Lamb still has the opportunity to familiarise the plays and in particular having a established combo with Keary for the following season when we are Cooperless should the buy be about him being the next half.
                    Up Easts.

I totally misunderstood your comments BP,my apologies..

Totally agree with you regarding Brock having a run as a dummy half replacement next year,it’s a positive for the player and Club moving forward..

I have no doubt we bought Lamb to cover for the loss of Baptiste. And worse case scenario if one of our halves goes down we have a bloke who is a capable replacement. A very astute signing.
