  • Centres too wide & close to sidelines?

It is something I have noticed over the year, and feel our centres drift to close to the sidelines, limiting the space they have to make things happen ie Step/Fend/Jink/Pass.

Latrell and Joey always seem more dangerous when they are deeper and closer to the center of the park. This generally happens in broken play rather than set up play where Tedesco gets involved.

Became very apparent in Origin 3 where Latrell went missing and I couldn’t even see him on the tv in the second half.

Feel we should tighten up in attack to work to a post for an isolation move for the strike centres to work their magic with plenty of depth and space. Boom!

    Thoughts?

Very noticeable...its got to do with overuse of second rowers fircing it that way pushing centers and wingers right on the sideline....stupid coaching..
    drives me nuts
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Latrell played well on the wing earlier in the season.

We played our best footy when Maubs was in the centres?

Can Toops play in the centres?
Is Toops a right winger playing left wing?

Changes have to be made to this team or we'll just keep getting beaten.

Collins is tall, he should be playing in the forwards in first grade.
      Butcher is too short.
Radley should be playing in the centres?

Fergo and Toops in the centres...Manu and Latrell on the wings.

      Changes have to be made.

We need a Fittler cutout pass.

Was definitely way too much side to side stuff last night without going forward first. The halves were drifting aimlessly across field and by the time to ball got to the centres and wingers they were just left standing flat footed with nowhere to go.

I imagine Robbo would have been deeply unimpressed with the attack yesterday. Expect next week to go back to basics of running hard and straight and getting some momentum before going to the edges.
