  • Jake Friend - Dally M Rake of the year.

He'd have to be in with a shot at this gong. He's played every game and busted his arse playing 80 mins a lot of the time. Is renounded for being a tough little bastard and has shown a marked improvement in his running game of late.

He'd be juicy odds I'd imagine.

    Chook.

    Gotta get past Smith.

But a win is not impossible.

Not enough wins from the Roosters for him to figure

Rod Silva won fullback of the year in 1994 when we finished third last.

You are aware that people such as Cam Smith, Matt Ballin, Aaron Payne, Robbie Farah etc exist, right?

:edit: I'm not trying to belittle friend here either, just saying he is well behind the top hookers in the comp.

0% chance. Smith will win it and rightly so.

I think you are fighting a losing battle and are better off giving up...

I support our players, but I don't delude myself into thinking they are all the best in their respective positions.

Friend was a tackling bag most of the season who managed to string together a couple above average games against the dragons and sharks.

Finally showing some promise after years of time in the top grade and suddenly he is the best in the business??

I haven't seen our fans going off this half cocked since the emergence of superboy.... and I feel like we still hear the same old excuses made about him every year (still developing, "only" xx years old etc)

I could think of worse bets Chook. I'll have a closer look at dally m betting tomorrow (most markets are suspended at present) but with Cameron Smith who will most likely be odds on (for hooker), if you can get each way Friend @ 4/1 or better, IMO that would be a really good bet.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

                            I agree.

Just like SKD was all of a sudden the world's best centre.
