  • Anyone else not feeling it?

We're heading into the finals as premiership favourites. A lot of people are talking us up. However, I'm not feeling so confident. I fear we will crash out in straight sets or painfully lose in the prelims.

Does anyone else feel the same?

A big win against Parra was nothing special considering they're wooden spooners and had nothing to play for. The games against the Broncos and Raiders were very poor; Broncos game especially.

Our attack seems to have gone back to playing very laterally and I'm concerned that we dont have a plan B. Why dont we play more direct? There is so much potential for Tedesco to run onto inside balls off Cronk but Cronk always feeds it to the edges with block plays? Latrell has also been very well contained outside of the parra game.

The Sharks are our bogey side and among a few other teams (Warriors and Broncos) are in form heading into the finals. Its going to be a tough finals series, that I'm sure of.

I have been sceptical all year that we can go an entire finals series without blowing our own foot off with repeated handling errors and penalties.

also like it or not at some stage we are going to have to overcome being absolutely reamed by Cummins or Sutton.

We are there and in the box seat. It's ours to lose from here.

Funnily though, I am also not feeling it. I am in "one week at a time mode".

I’m not sure about the other 7 teams because it’s not like I care about them but I’m guessing our error rate has to be there at the top of all of them especially with bombing tries and simple kicks for goals. On Saturday we should have gotten another 2 tries and if Mitchell would have converted some of those simple kicks for goals from in front in past games he most likely would have been top scorer. It’s the unforced errors that worry me most and we are one of the best at them I feel. We reduce all of that by half and we’re champions.

The bench....just get that right Robbolicious...or the Trew will come down on you.We are always good for a first up Semi win....Cronulla are not good...Valentine Homo is the winner here .I suggest a Sam Moa special for him off the kick off

            Gotta love the Chookpen.

It's not like we sneaked into the playoffs in 8th place FFS. No one expected it, so can't we just enjoy it?

              Yeah.

To be a footy fan is to fail most of the time - you can't win the comp every year. And because you don't win the comp every year you have doubt all the time. And while rugby league is not life or death, the Roosters are for a lot of us, so there is a lot at stake.

There are no guarantees and we're not odds-on favourites but we're as good a chance anyone. Let's enjoy the ride!

Start hard, totally dominate, patience and discipline is the key. Because everyone knows this team boasts more dangerous attacking players than any other side by a long shot.

The top 4 teams had 34 points the bottom 4 teams had 32. In essence we all snuck in because we were all 1-2 wins from missing out. I hope this MP doesn’t give us the false impression that we were the best team by a mile. We could have won more games if we weren’t so error prone.

Roosters to win the Grand Final for me. They are peaking at the right time, still have room for improvement down the straight, but the players are hungry for success and keen as mustard for the final series to start.

Feels a lot like last year. We've failed to produce 80 minute for more that 2 games straight all season.

Maybe we find form in the Finals and hit our straps with 3 games to go.

                      Seems a little unrealistic.

Someone posted it a few weeks ago and it explains everything to me - Robbo is a defensive coach. Our defence has held for years, but our attack is always slightly off key.

Anything could happen but I'm thinking it won't.

Are you talking about the Sharks boasting more attacking players than any other team by a long shot?

If so I respectfully disagree, the Sharks strength are their forwards and their control of the ruck with niggling tactics all game..

If you compare our backline to theirs it’s like comparing a Ferrari to a Toyota,we would own them in the backs!

Actually not many are talking us up, Souths,Cronulla and broncos are the “experts “ tips.

Agree with brain, need to settle on a bench, thought Aubo playing 80min last week helped with the bench rotation, but it was v parra, so not sure how it would go this weekend.

time for Cronk, teddy, jwh and latrell to be at their best every game from now. If they are, we win it.

Not really, Holmes is on par with teddy, Ramien is very good, latrell is a standout, and the rest almost cancel each other out.

I disagree mate,Tupou over Feki no contest,Ferguson over Erick Lee definetly no contest,Latrel over Dugan,Ramien and Manu cancel eachother out,Cronk over Townsend is a mismatch,Keary over Moylan though close..

Maybe not a Toyota but a late model Mazda
