The powers that be should have sat in the chookpen for 1 game and hear the cheers the players get when the team is announced before the game. Who gets the loudest cheer by far? Todd Carney.

The say its a business and they want bums on seats. Do they think if the sack Carney the will again next year fill 2 bays of the chookpen? I don't think so. The fans love him and will forgive him anything short of murder. Lets face it he didn't bash or rape anyone.

the club was more than happy to let Carney have an extra couple of weeks before deciding his fate, they wanted to see how he conducted himself away from the club, the fact he has been more interested in spending most nights out drinking than getting help for his "so called" condition is what will seal his fate more than anything else.

everyone might deny a decision has been made but it is clear he won't be hear next year, and neither should he, purely on the back of the lack of respect he has shown his team mates and the club.

Very sad stuff,but all sane Roosters supporters i've spoken to agree that as soon as Carney broke the teams trust for the umpteenth time that it was time for Todd to leave this great club..

The Roosters are the only club to compete in the Australia's elite Rugby League competition every year since it began..We are bigger than ANY ONE PLAYER..

Carney is no longer playing, and as I said in another thread, or this thread, somewhere, these players now need to aim up for 80 minutes a match, starting tonite...win, lose or draw.

If the coach doesn't do better in 2012 he could well be the next one shown the door, it's happened before.
The club is now a business...in the business of winning games often.
