  • JWH development!

I'm so happy the way he has come along this season. He has cut out most of the silly penalties and carrying on with fights. He is the first to give encouragement to his team mates. Should lead our pack for many years to come!

Been a really good season for him, one of our most consistent even when we were losing.

Yep there is a lot to like about JWH. His aggression is more controlled now and he never stops. Strong man with amazing intensity.

Still think he's too skillful to be playing front row, don't need him there with a rotation of Evans, Tasi, Masoe, Ryles and Kennedy next season - trim him down and let him loose on the edges.

my only concern is next season will be his last with us, the fact he lives on the northern beaches and still hangs around the Manly boys, it wouldn't surprise to see him head back there after next year.

I love the enthusiasm he shows on the field regardless of the scoreboard... Hopefully Kennedy is fit for the start of next season and our forward pack is looking fairly strong!!

I was ultra critical of him at the start of the season but my how things have changed. Love how much he cares about the team, the fans and putting in a good performance. His big smile and clapping of the fans always makes me proud to be a Rooster even if we get belted.

Agree that JWH is a keeper. I like watching him play as he always has an impact when he is on. The positive nature of his impact has been increasing through the year.
Also, couldn't help but notice that he kept up with Duffy and chased all the way to the tryline.

money will no longer be an issue when it comes to keeping him because we have just lost myles, carney looks set to go also and ryles, mini and anasta are all within a couple of years of hanging up the boots. with the salary cap also set to increase, unless he gets offered an absurd amount of money at manly which would be unreasonable to match, i think it will come down to where he prefers to play and relationships with the coaching staff aside of which i have no knowledge, he seems to be in a tight knit group with the likes of SKD, BJ, tasi, FPN

My wife picked him out at the Luna park day... Mentioning how great he was with the kids and how genuine he came across with his enthusiasm. It was also obvious when hecwas hi giving all the kids after the game yesterday... A great ambassador for the club and I would assume a great guy in the sheds etc.

JWH is one of those players who really appreciates the fans support, always open and friendly, great to have a chat to, he is like a hyperactive Jack russell dosed up on a case of Redbull !

On the field, as we can all see, he puts the same amount of energy in and will always back up is team mates. Doesn't take a step back. He will still give away penalties and drop ball, he is only human, but he brings a whole lot of positive to the club ! The longer we keep him, the better it will be for both !

The sheer amount of outstanding young forwards we have at our disposal is outstanding.

                              Hargreaves
                              Tasi
                              Cordner
                              Arona
                              Guerra
                              Aubusson
                              Masoe
                              Kennedy
                              Symonds
                              Nuuausala
                              Cherrington
                              Bosden

None of these guys are older than 24 I believe.

Then you can look to Ethan Lowe, Kane Evans, Josh Ailomai and Dane Atkinson who haven't hit first grade yet but are definite talents.
